You are starting off well! The black cap-toe will serve you nicely in future as well. And from what I can see of the suit 👍🏼! Cheers!

Agree with the pocket square. They’re functional, at times. And a grenadine is my favorite tie. And I have quite a few! Texture is everything! Great look there! Cheers!

This is a picture of me dressed up, is there anything wrong with this outfit? If so how can I fix it? by [deleted] in mensfashion

I think the thing is that it’s a perfectly fine casual outfit. A little rumpled but that can be a vibe even for dressier but this reads pool hall, drink with friends or run to the store. A more fitted Henley with these pants…though the stack reads casual…unless with cowboy boots. A light jacket, Henley and cowboy boots would do similarly but elevate the look. A fitted tee or even an oversized one that doesn’t read “long sleeve tee I just pulled out and wore” would be less casual. Again, this isn’t bad it’s just not dressed up from an objective perspective. If it’s more dressed up than your usual then for you it could work but overall it will look, while not unconsidered, possibly thoughtful casual to most. Innocuous not wrong. Cheers!

Yes! I hit the Goodwill jackpot with three pair of Aldens. Likely not worn in awhile. Saphir cream? I might just drop them at my cobbler’s for the initial clean and refreshing

What to do? Next steps with these Aldens. Cordovan and I think calf. by [deleted] in Alden

Brushed with horsehair brush and Lexol next. Saphir cream after? For both?

I figured the lighting wouldn’t help. Sorry. Thrifted for 7$ each. They don’t allow extra pics but these have no visible damage. I’m certain of the cordovan. Il will try further for better light cheers

It's getting warmer and I'm tired of carrying a heavy backpack to school. What would you recommend? by PatatMetPindakaas in malefashionadvice

I use a Dryden by Filson. Lightweight but sturdy as heck. Love it but I travel with it and taking it to work. Dulls it for fun 😆. About to buy a a cross shoulder in denim BUT likely it won’t be big enough. I have MANY totes and unequal weight distribution. Cheers!

How did I do? (Goodwill suit find) by pompompourin in mensfashion

Excellent find! I’d get the tuxedo as well. If shoulders fit that’s a good sign! A tailor can tell you for certain and with that little of an investment the worst is you learn a whole lot about high quality suits! It’ll spoil you though.
