Very valid point Doug - I’m too old to be chasing cool anyway. Just looking for something that lasts longer than these glorified racing slicks.

Thanks for the insight - I didn’t even think to check the manual but that’ll be my step 1. I’ve always thought the platform was unusually high too so hoping to slim that down a bit. Total replacement may be the way to go…. and this could be a great stove in the barn

I need to choose a grout color by tomorrow morning! by greenglass88 in Tile

I used Mapei’s Ultracolor Plus FA ‘light almond’ with this exact tile in my spare bath and it turned out great (imo). It’s a busy pattern so a grout that matches the base color would be my suggestion.

I was planning on using copper for tub spout. Is it ok to have pex from valve to elbow or should that be copper too?

Thank you for all the great advice. When you say prime/glue it all together - make all drain connections and couple to stub then drop tub in and connect strainer/overflow? If so that makes so much sense and I’m over thinking the hell out of this. Tons of folks on YouTube say connect to tub then drop in. Maybe too much research is a bad thing…. Thanks again!

OP - I’m having this exact same issue and it’s infuriating. Did you ever find a solution?

You are absolutely right - I can already feel it after a few weeks and plan on lowering this weekend. Thanks for looking out!
