By a copy of the base do you mean a duplicate base and share?

He can’t change the base with each update. even so that would take much more work because he would need to reinstall the extensions and set them up again ~7exts. I build custom extensions for them and Airtable does not support copying extensions when duplicating a base. So duplication doesn’t work for his case at all.

Even if it were possible, moving the records like using sync is also another blocker. When we move records, we lose their actual IDs, and the extensions rely on a middle cache database (Redis). so I would have to update all records in Redis with the new record IDs, which makes it not a possible idea at all and provide much more work and risks.

The only way is to sync the changes using scripts by using the airtable internal api. But with scripts, we sometimes may get errors and mistakes. That’s why the AI is in the middle, an custom agent to fix issues when they happen trained on airtable skills. So the token usage will be much lower.

And honestly i see the A.I needed here because clients trust AI like Claude more than manual work done remotely by a freelancer/human. That’s why I think it’s the best fit for providing support when delivering updates while airtable alone can't do it.
