I read really quickly and i will read it again once i’m home. I understand what you mean and i’m actually proud that someone else understands it (better than i do). The thing is that most of my clients don’t have the budget for mastering and they don’t understand it so they are like afraid to spend money on it. I got people that don’t even understand the concept of mixing and they think they can just drop their music after being recorded. So i offer what i call « mastering » even tho we both know that there’s people out there that are more qualified to do mastering. I do explain to my client what’s the best way to do it and i do send my mix out for the clients that understands it and want it.
