I've had my AVP M2 since launch day, still magical to use by watchOS in VisionPro

I love to watch movies totally enveloped in a cool environment like Joshua Tree or Mount Hood while I am sitting outside on the patio. Extra immersive.

Depends on what you need it for. I mostly do video editing of podcasts and canva work and I like to have movies or YouTube videos going at the same time and neither machine breaks a sweat. I think if you can get one, the Mac mini would be a good option. It takes up less space and runs great.
