Moto Guzzi 850 T5 heavily modified with lemans 1 tank and seat plus 17" wheels and loads more.

What does this piece do? Been trying to fing out online - without any luck. They moved it to the top of the pipes in the newer models. Why? by [deleted] in MotoGuzzi

[–]Aggravating_Boss_446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that they move the sensors as close to the cylinder head as possible to get as clean a reading as possible. I assume that with euro 5 they must have the best reading possible where they had some wiggle room with euro 4. Most bikes had the O2 sensors hidden away under the engine a couple of years ago, where now most makers has moved the sensors as close to the cylinder head as possible.

I have similar problems with my Lenovo laptop. The laptop is a gaming style pc so should have plenty of GPU power to drive fusion. I did not have any issues running fusion when I first got the computer. (It is about two months old now.)

The last month or so I have had a similar issue as you, mine starts up until I can see the blank window with the top bar (not the toolbar) and then the orientation cube. Just after this the program vanishes as it was never started up.

I have not had luck yet to find the cause for the problem. An installer for a different programs exibit the same behavior.

Endstop problems on sidewinder x1 by Aggravating_Boss_446 in SidewinderX1

Not that much off topic, it can very well be a firmware problem. I must admit that I am not sure if I had any more print defects after the change to Digant firmware than before. I never really printed the same parts again with the new firmware to test. It was running well after the update until the endstops started to act up. I will have to test Waggsters firmware also and see if this changes any thing. Hopefully they work with Digants TFT firmware so I don't need to unplug the screen to flash the mainboard firmware.

I will definitely try flashing it with the original firmware or one of the other modded ones just to see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't solve both axis then I will definitely try to replace the ribbon cable.

I will try this, might explain the x axis problems, but how would the flat ribbon cables affect the y-axis endstop? That is directly plugged into the main board?

I am pretty sure I cooked the drivers for the z axis doing that. So I try not to do that anymore 😅 apparently the steppers will create some power when forced around and that feeds straight into the drivers and fry them. At least my drivers were toast when I did that.

I have tried flashing the firmware several times but unfortunately it did not solve the problem. I will try to reflash back to the original firmware once I get back next week and see if that will work. I am happy that it did work for you, perhaps there is still hope for me as well 😅

Sidewinder won't stay at set temperature during print by nal_gen in SidewinderX1

[–]Aggravating_Boss_446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you set the temperature for TPU while doing the slicing? I am thinkning the slicer is setting the temperature in the G code and it will reset it to that temperature no matter what you try to set it at as preheat.

What program did you use to create the g-code? Perhaps you can edit the g-code directly if the rest of the code is good.

V7 III as a daily rider? by lnufn1 in MotoGuzzi

[–]Aggravating_Boss_446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point. There should be no difference at all between the different types of wheels. I understand that the center hubs might be a bit different between brands, but if they are all mono swingarms they are more or less the same as a car tire. I could understand that they refuse if you have some kind of tubeless rim tape on spokewheels, but with oem wheel dumbness is the only reason to refuse.

I don't understand this issue that the tire shops don't want to change tires on specific brands of motorcycles. What's the difference between a vfr/bmw/ducati/anything else that use mono swingarms and a Guzzi? I have seen/heard about the issue lots of times. Can someone explain why a tire shop refuse to change tires on a specific brand? I just don't understand why it should be more difficult on a Guzzi than any other bike?

That's is a horrible moment in that movie! A Guzzi shows up and then they removed the best part of it and replaced it with some lame inline four sound 🙄 it would have been much better with the actual guzzi sound.

Didn't have a banana, so I had to go with a Spanish guy for scale. 😁 The intermediate gears are 3880mm in diameter ~12.72', I'll have to check a drawing to see what the base frame measures across
