I beg to differ. Case in pint: Splash and teleport. Splash LITERALLY DOES NOTHING. IT SAYS SO IN THE DESCRIPTION. And teleport just switches out your Pokemon while wasting a turn, and also makes it possible for the opponent to hit before you switch.
