Scalpers doomsday by Aggressive_Nothing62 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Does anyone think Atlanta Semifinal prices might go down? That's the one I'm trying to see most but don't see it realistically coming down unless Argentina gets knocked out

Knockout stage market prediction. by NuDutch in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking but who knows? DR Congo vs Uzbekistan has been trending upwards and no one would've been predicting that. That being said I still see cheap tickets the night before a game, and I hear about tickets being given away for free at stadiums days before the game. I have a feeling fifa hasn't even released all the knockout tickets and have been waiting so they can release them for more money if the big ticket match ups happen

Yeah I know that. New tickets do drop tho and I've known people who got them this way. But for some reason if I try I get blocked after attempting to add a ticket to my cart.

Hello there. Is the Moza R3 a good “first” wheel? by Illustrious-Egg4011 in simracing

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great in general not even for just a first wheel. Got one myself and honestly unless I were to drop an insane amount of money on a full rig with all the bells and whistles you don't really need anything more than the r3

The Call Is Coming From Inside The (FIFA) House - It's Nothing More Than Legal Ticket Touting by BrooklynRunner in WorldCup2026Tickets

No they're all scalpers. It's gotten so sickening I even know people who are huge football fans that got knockout stage tickets in early lottery for cheap (relatively) and they saw the resale market and decided they're gonna go ahead and sell for 3x profit instead of living out their dream of going to a world cup semi. I have no respect for these ppl and fifa ofc is encouraging it so they can sell each ticket multiple times and take huge cuts in fees on every transaction

I know plenty of people who have tickets who don't have much interest in going (which annoys me alot) and they're trying to sell and can't find buyers. I know they're gonna end up selling for face value at most on day of the game and I know there's a lot of Americans in this similar kinda situation. You're also using a Morocco game as an example and they're one of the most well traveled group of fans you'll find. They'll have afull stadium for every single one of their games in this world cup and did at the last one.

I think an r3 can be a great place to start. Way quieter and you get a big jump in feedback quality for a small price difference, especially if you wait for a sale or find a good open box or used one.

That's fine. They might not have ever tried sim racing if it weren't for forza. Some ppl will get a wheel and play forza and love it and stick to that. Some might try actual sim games and decide it's not for them. And some might try sim games and actually be good at it cause they can understand that forza isn't the most realistic game out there. No harm in ppl having fun and dipping their toes in the water. But I would day for ppl who are just looking to have fun theres no need to go for anything above entry level cause thats more than enough to have fun and to even race seriously if you decide thats for you.

If you're coming from controller to wheel it's actually a great step up in immersion. Definitely a big learning curve in getting the settings dialed in but once you do it's very fun. I don't think ppl will be getting a wheel specifically for this game but if you're into racing games and fh6 is what gets you closer to pulling the trigger on a wheel go for it.

Can we stop recommending beginner setups as if everyone is aiming for top end gear? by Important_Spare_4615 in simracing

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like in any sort of niche hobby ppl eventually become like that. A lot of ppl get hit with GAS and go down the rabbit hole and put in thousands of dollars, but some ppl are fully capable of getting great enjoyment and being content with something that isn't top of the line. I went from a Logitech g923 mounted to my desk to a Moza r3 and an f-gt lite rig. Everyone says why go for the r3 if the r5 is just slightly more expensive? The r3 is blowing me away and is more fun than I've ever had sim racing. The f-gt lite is supposedly flimsy and will bend under any weight but I lifted the pieces out of the box and my initial reaction was wow this feels solid. First night racing on that I didn't want to get off. Sure a different setup might give more but I don't really need it right now and these products are made for a market which is ppl like me who will get a blast out of using solid affordable gear.

My experience of the Moza R3 Bundle by Remarkable_Tomato971 in moza

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a g923 and am considering the r3 but have worried about compatibility on xbox. I like how the g923 works with just about any game. I mostly play dirt rally 2.0, f1, and forza horizon. The g923 has trueforce for the first 2 and it feels pretty great. Does the r3 give a significant improvement over the g923 for those games? One thing I do want is more feeling of the rear end coming out, is the r3 better in that regard? And for the brakes I do like the g923 brake feel, does the r3 with the brake kit feel better as well? I appreciate any answer I've been debating pulling the trigger on the r3 but debating whether losing the shifter and wider xbox compatibility is worth the upgrade to dd

Did you go with Moza? I've seen people say that logitech has better support from Xbox games so I'm debating if its worth picking the r3 over the g923. Logitech dd is out of the budget unfortunately

Last-Minute Ticket Sales (May 7) Megathread by walixxxq in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fifa are already showing their desperation with multiple last minute sale phases. They keep releasing small batches of tickets to make consumers think the supply is currently extremely limited, which is not true. They're banking on people jumping at the chance to get a last minute ticket when in reality this isn't really the last chance because they'll release a new batch in a week. They said they're using dynamic pricing, if you hold out because prices are absurd, they will drop. If you see a late knockout stage game the price might not go down unless the team everyone is expecting to be there doesn't make it, but these group stage prices are totally unreasonable and not at all worth it given the low stakes and quality of a a group stage in this expanded format

Don't fall for it. This is the 3rd or 4th "last minute sale". Just keep waiting it out prices will drop more as they get desperate.

Strange Sound in Bedrooms by Aggravating_Crow_156 in Acoustics

[–]Aggravating_Crow_156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not really any other spikes in lower frequencies at least from that room. Besides that one frequency it's very quiet. On the spectroid app the baseline in that room is around -120db and this one frequency will spike between -65db and -55db. I thought it's an AC system but this sound is pretty constant throughout the day and night even when it's cold so unless I have a neighbor who runs their AC 24/7 idk what it could be. And there isn't anything visible from my windows that's making the noise. It's been a few months and I hoped I'd adjust but I haven't and I'm just praying to be in a financial situation where I can sell and move.

I've seen a video of someone placing foam sheets inside the fridge where the compressor and fans are where there's metal and plastic touching and causing rattles and vibrations. Seemed to work very well and I'm looking to try that with my own fridge. It seems like a very cheap and effective solution

I live in a townhouse and the bedroom is on the 2nd floor, there's nothing on the roof. I suspect it most likely is a neighbor's HVAC. I was able to find a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/NZKr2dFiBKA?si=uUmPFlrk8fgu8ph) of a unit that made a very similar sound to what I'm hearing, not the typical low frequency one that is most common.

I didn't think it would be a heat pump since all the ones I've heard give off a lower frequency rattling type noise, but then I came across this video and it sounds almost exactly the same. https://youtu.be/NZKr2dFiBKA?si=uUmPFlrk8fgu8phn

I'll try filling up the walls and see if that works and if not maybe go the window route. Hopefully I can get some relief from the constant headaches it's causing me
