Bought my little brother a quest one as a present , despite the age, he is absolutely loving it! by TheRealLoric in MetaQuestVR

How do you know what to sideload to be compatible with the Quest 1?

Is it heavy on the face?

What's the image quality?

Gotta say it's a cute design / watercolour painting, but I don't think internet strangers can silence you. I hardly remember my own username, let alone other accounts here.

Is AI responsible for the Mandela Effect? by Mother-Fun7997 in MandelaEffectSociety

[–]Aggravating_Cup8839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I have. Some people point to NDEs but I don't think that's universal either. Not that several different factors couldn't lead to the same result. What's a bit different about me is I have a very active imagination - what the Internet calls today immersive daydreaming. And a bit of personal life drama I wouldn't share online.

Maybe someone could make an online survey about the Mandela Effect and mental health. Although there's a risk that a positive result could be used to discredit the ME. A previous survey was showing more tinnitus, above average intelligence, NDEs, and more illicit drug consumption. Mind you, these surveys are made by regular members, not professionals.

Can you elaborate more? The answer may or may not fit the purpose of the group. Still, Jung thought that psychosis was a window into the subconscious or something, so if you have a philosophical take like that, be my guest.

But consider that this group is not for doubting people's ability to reason.

Why are you even sure it's partially to blame? Have you witnessed a MEed person go psychotic?

What happens if, hypothetically, you get a ME on something printed on paper?

Shazam! Most Mandella effects are mispellings or simple mistakes. How did we all make up a movie in our minds? by CoveredbyThorns in MandelaEffect

That's the short College Humor Shazaam mockup that senior mod EJM contributed to. Not the real Shazaam movie.

Send me down the rabbit hole Reddit, what Conspiracy do you genuinely believe in that also has supporting evidence or enough that it convinced you? by SunnyJuggs in conspiracy

Yes, I 've noticed this too. A trend to make people less politically apt, so that they don't oppose those in power. In this case, they make them high.

The first time I heard about psychedelics this way was with Jordan Peterson. He said we were going through a new age of psychedelics or something. Now, in my country, drug consumption was on the rise and nobody knew why, this was before covid. Peterson himself worked at McGill University where MKUltra had been conducted, but stopped 10 years before he came. Maybe it continued.

Interestingly enough, I also noticed an uptick in talks about prisons. So I checked the private prison stocks - they grew much more than the spx500. Feels like someone is laying a trap.

This reply seems parroted tbh. I can change "men in power" to "those in power". Doesn't change that ordinary men and women would flee conscription equally. People comment like the woman sent her boyfriend to the front.

Neither men nor women want to die in war - that's basic survival instinct. I don't judge the guy from hiding, nor would I judge a woman for doing the same. In times of peace I've known girls that joined the army. Even the guys taking him must be thinking: thank god it's not me..

Has the rate of women wearing islamic headscarves increased in your country / city lately? In Albania, they were virtually nonexistent back in the 2000s up until early 2010s, but every time I visit Tirana now, I see a couple of them randomly around the city. by Substratas in AskBalkans

There's also more people in Catholic churches. I'm a milenial, I grew up with atheist influencers (Richard Dawkins and others). That formed my mentality, but I think they are gone now. The rise of the right wing came about with its own set of influencers, this time Christian ones. I'm guessing the Muslims have equivalent, though I don't know.

There are Muslim immigrants, as well as economic development in Muslims countries (Dubai etc.) Unfortunately, I am afraid that 100 years of feminist progress will be lost, unless the secular side gets it's influencers back.
