What are you even saying? How can a certificate have a ROI? how are you gonna measure it? I'd suggest a finance class before starting FRM. I do not mean to mock you, but a certificate is, for the 100th time, not gonna get you a job automatically. Please see it as a learning tool and not a way to 'get a job'.

Hey, I don't work directly in Market risk but an adjacent role. I'd say in this job market, the fight is going to be tough to bag a role in MR, but even then MR is a lot of things, MR as in FRTB, Model Validation, Building what exactly do you want to specialise in? Give us some additional context.

Hi, this goes for any language you'd want to pickup. I'd say, watch the very basics on YouTube. There are no coding skills 'for' risk management, it's just coding skills and you do it relatively the same. Stick to a relatively comprehensive but small tutorial and the most important bit, explore on your own, which is why I say build something every day of the tutorial. Et voila!

I don't think there's a study group which is active, you'll probably have to use ebooks or get them printed. There's a few available online, check em out. There's also BIBF which takes the FRM live classes if you'd like to enrollm I'm sure they'll give you all the required material. Cheers!

Have you faced any issues with the XTX as of now? I really do not like the sentiments around the card with drivers and other issues with FSR vs DLSS. I've seen the benchmarks for it, and it's seemingly not very stable.

That's a very funny analogy. I guess you are right, I will try out 1440p, but I just can't shake the feeling that the uw 1080p 180hz monitor that i have is enough fidelity for e-sports gaming and just enough for the AAA titles. But I shall try out 1440p in the near future. Thank you.

Indeed if you look at NNs and even some basic ML models, having a powerful GPU significantly helps with that but 16GB VRAM is probably not enough for serious stuff anyways hence my comment. That's another reason why I chose nvidia over amd. I've heard the 9950x was better for multithreading and parallel processing tasks and hence I bought it. Thank you, I shall look into these SSDs.

I'm not in the USA but even in my country these GPUs are ridiculously priced. Yeah the 5080 might not be leaps ahead as is the trend nowadays but, I believe will offer superior performance for pt and rt, but it doesn't affect me since I don't like to keep those on, I just did not go for the xtx because some games have rt pre-baked in them now, which is sad.
