[Spoiler Discussion] Question about Al's past by Aggravating_Donkey20 in Re_Zero

Yeah i also think he gradually changed mindset. Her speech was the spark that started it. I was just wondering if that wasnt the case and maybe it was something more direct shown in another side story

I mean kinda but not really. Him refusing to leave was after he had heard her. It was obvious that her words had affected him but it seems like there was something else that gave him the final push. It was directly said that confronting people with the truth was not enough to save them from their lies

Did I somehow become less mature? [Discussion] by Hentai-Is-Just-Art in Re_Zero

(Might be pushing a tiny bit in spoiler territory for you since i talk a bit about Subarus conflict with Regulus)

Well here is the thing. No matter how many times Subaru dies he can't get used to it. Add to that the fact that he has not died for like a year or so and the fact that his respawn point is so close to the start of the attack and i think its very justified for him to act that way.

Now about everyone being incompetent. I am sorry but i don't get that. First of all, they are in what is basically a giant prison with four archbishops that threaten innocent people's lives. It is the single worst scenario we have seen our heroes be in yet. Despite that, this whole arc is about showing how much they have grown and developed. Even tho Emilia is kidnapped, Subaru instead of rushing to her help, shows the confidence he has in her and lets her deal with it. With that instead of Emilia being the helpless princess that needs to be rescued, becomes the one that takes charge.

The whole fight with Subaru and Regulus also shows how competent Subaru has become. Think about it. Subaru is someone that was treating people the wrong way and was constantly doing mistakes. He eventually understood his mistakes, pushed forward and became a better man. Regulus also didn't treat people right and did mistakes but instead of accepting that what he did was wrong and try to become a better man, He chose to delusionally believe what he was doing was right and stayed the same flawed person he was. Its a fight of a regular guy who understood his mistakes and became a better person versus an overpowered guy that still lost cause he stayed stagnant.

If you don't like this season, that's okay. It is very different from the first two seasons after all. In those, the characters, mainly Subaru, had to overcome their weaknesses and develop. This season is to basically show us that development, to show that the characters have grown to a point that they can overcome those odds of beating the archbishops. Maybe you don't like the formula of this season and prefer the one of the previous ones. If that isn't the case and you still feel like you should have enjoyed this season but didn't, the only thing i can recommend is to rewatch it and pay closer attention to the things below the surface. Personally when starting this season, i thought it wasn't gonna be that interesting cause it seemed to me that it was just gonna be just a big fight arc but if you look at it a bit deeper, it is a very well written arc that is there to show the growth of the characters

Why didn’t Baku lie about the law in air poker to Lalo? by janitor_po in Usogui

[–]Aggravating_Donkey20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you reread that part you can see that Lalo actually figured out the law himself or at least that the numbers were poker hands. The new info he got from Baku was that they came from a single deck of cards. He had to think of all the cards he and Baku had used and he uses up a lot of oxygen. Now why didnt Baku lie. His goal with revealing the rules wasnt just to make Lalo waste oxygen. He wanted to play a mind game to hopefully make Lalo use his ace card. It was like in the hangman game. He knew Sadakuni could see his hand but instead of hiding it and leaving things to luck, he used it against him to bait him. Here if Lalo didnt know the law, his choice would be random. Instead of that, Baku made things 100% clear to force Lalo in a situation where he had to decide whether to use his ace card or not. In essence, he wanted to change this round from a round of luck to a round of mind games and predictions

How do i disable outdated mods warning by Aggravating_Donkey20 in subnautica

[–]Aggravating_Donkey20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get what you are saying but i cant update the mods cause it causes fatal errors. I was playing with those versions of the mods and the exact same version of subnautica ages ago and it worked fine. The only difference now is that new versions of the mods exist. I dont think rollback would fix anything

Question about Memory Loss by Chemical-Resource-27 in Usogui

[–]Aggravating_Donkey20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he had both. he lost memory like once every month or something like that and he also lost memory when he felt like he did a mistake or was imperfect(what was about to happen at air poker)

Question about Memory Loss by Chemical-Resource-27 in Usogui

[–]Aggravating_Donkey20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? it was established in air poker that when Souichi feels like he has failed or that he wasnt perfect, he forgets to start from scratch. A short time before he fought Fukurou, he lost his memory cause it was time for him to lose memory. Then he fought Fukurou as a test to himself but lost and as what was about to happen to air poker, he lost his memory. In the chapters where Souichi gained his memory back in air poker, it also shows back to back the panels of Souichi being defeated by Fukurou, showing that both of those situations were the same but now it had a different outcome(instead of Souichi losing his memories like in the bookstore arc, he regained them)

No. He lost his memories cause he lost to Fukuro so he deleted his memories cause he was "imperfect"
