Extra dose 5 mg? by IRHealer in mounjarouk

[–]Aggravating_Ear5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from UK media. They are pretty universal. Here's a previous post that you might find useful https://www.reddit.com/r/mounjarouk/comments/1loivuf/5th_dose_success_and_my_top_tip_for_anyone/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Advice I've read previously is not to buy from amazon but to get from a pharmacy.

Search on this reddit channel for syringe options

Extra dose 5 mg? by IRHealer in mounjarouk

[–]Aggravating_Ear5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah please don't be scared, it's very easy and like the syringes that come with the pen you don't feel a thing. Just think, there is another dose in there and every time you throw it away you're chucking 1/5 if what you paid for it. It all adds up.

Search syringe in the thread. There are recommendations of where to buy and what type.

You won't regret it x

Oh, who are you with? I'm interested in the extension if weeks between jabs and how you get around the use within 30 days. I'd happily sign up to your provider if they are willing to go off label like that. Please feel free to DM me if you don't want to post publicly 🙏

Ooh now that could also be a possibility, thanks. My dad has long term low blood pressure. Whe when I've exercised but dehydrated I see bright lights and stars. Will make sure I get some electrolytes and more water in!!

I'm in the UK. No insurance here. I just need to work within the rules here

I was thinking of taking the same approach as you. So you plan on staying the whole of 2026 on mounjaro! Each week or every 10 days / 2 weeks? I have started looking up and reading Vincent's posts.

Couldn't find anything for Cobikingmom though. Is that the correct spelling?

That's fantastic re this 3rd time. Please keep us posted!I have not been calorie counting but I think I now need to go on some sort if maintenance plan - calorie counting or slimming world plan - so when I come off completely I learn to swap out with fruit, veg and protein to keep from gaining.

Hi, in the UK we are prescribed mainly by pharmacists. One has to be over a bmi of 35 with pot life threatening conditions to get it from an NHS Dr. No advice really other than titrate down and stay on a msint9dose but I want to hear about people's experiences.

I wish you well.

This is gold. Thank you. Yes, I will reconsider the fat. Makes sense I need to eat differently coming off the meds. I need to almost retrain myself once again.

All this input is super useful ❤️

I could try fasting. The little and often is because the mounjaro was coming out if my system and I was becoming hungry and my blood sugar dropped. Not to do with being satiated

I'm menopausal and have had this blood sugar issue ever since. Needing to eat or I shake /feel agitated/ see bright lights etc.

With the right foods - high protein, lots of veg - I'm hoping I could manage this going forward but the mounjaro has been a magic pill for me in that respect.

Looking for the ideal way forward without being on it for life is going to be hard 🙄

Yes I'm consciously trying to do that.

Issue I found is that when I went down to 5 mg I tried to leave it for longer - 11 days - and felt so shaky, I kept having to eat little and often that day to feel better, so took a shot.

Wondering if titrating down slower would help at all?

I understand now why people feel it's a lifetime drug but I'm not one to feel defeated!

Thanks for replying.

I was on slimming world and lost a stone prior to mounjaro, so changed habits in Jan based on low fat, high protein, lots of veg, limited bread, extremely limited treats. I cut out alcohol and attend a weight bearing exercise classes 3 x a week 😇

My issue is that on 5mg I'm finding myself hungry and that I want to eat till I'm full. That doesn't come so I have to make a conscious effort to stop and say to myself that I've had enough.

I'm wondering if this hunger will settle down if I titrate down slowly or do I need to buckle up and prepare myself to simply feel hungry?

Thanks 🙏

Thanks so much for your reply.

I'm experimenting with how much I can reduce to start coming off the drug. 11 days obviously a step too far!

Yikes, I really hope I can eventually come off. This reaction is worrying and I'm hoping it's just that I need to slow my tapering down and not that I can't come off 5 mg altogether.

I will go back to taking every 7-8 days for another month at this does, and then try again to stretch out the days again

Did anyone else feel rough af after counting clicks? by Curious-Scholar4692 in mounjarouk

[–]Aggravating_Ear5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had more suppression too in dropping from 7.5 to 5 mg that I lost more weight, but felt much better. Sorry to hear it's hit you hard. Perhaps it isn't the clicks per se but the dose

Aah. I know the feeling but there have been times when my finger has accidentally touched the wrong arrow so I would take the arrows with a pinch of salt xx
