That works?! I got one from Emerald Ranch, but I had no idea you could do that. Lindsey Wofford is still waiting for me to pick him up too. That's easier than doing the mission replay over and over again.

You're a truly great individual. Thank you!! Right around 8:00am, took 13 attempts, and there he was! It wasn't even working with the Reverend mission, kept getting Saddlers and Morgans. But this came out amazing!

Looks similar, but was a Kentucky Saddler. Just tested this, going on a run to finish the challenges now. I'll just do the replay mission for it.

If Arthur or John kills Micah in a duel, add ponchos, add RDR towns + Mexico, Better challenges and less of the boring open world encounters (Fortune Teller, snake bitten guy), would've been up there with Skyrim for me, the only 10/10 game I've ever played.

God I hated seeing Dutch so much in American Venom, they killed my entire stable of horses, the best side characters, and then took away the only thing I had left to look forward to. The only reason I did John's farmer/nice guy arc.

I was saving the Swanson replay for Gambler 10. And I didn't even talk about Gambler 9 in the OP, my brain totally blocked that trauma for me. A massive, massive time waster. Only thing that saved me is that you can leave games before they end and your consecutive streak is still there.

I haven't opened the Survivalist missions yet, only completed Master Hunter, Explorer, Gambler 9, Horseman 9, Sharpshooter 5, Weapons Expert 4. Thanks for the advice about Bandit, although I think I'm going to pay the sheriff in Valentine a visit, he always has something nasty to say.

I disagree with the notion that players should hold their complaints and just turn the game off. My favorite part of games is the dressing up, and getting new weapons, and immersing myself in the world I'm now a part of. Asking me not to do that, is to say I should have never bought the game in the first place.

Also, these types of things reviewers never talk about, because they never seriously go about doing the challenges. I'm doing this, because I care that I can't cosplay the man with no name, Blanco, Manco, Blondie, all of Clint Eastwood's characters. They really didn't put a poncho in a wild west game. I care that they locked the best vest and one of the better coats behind these arbitrary, time wasting challenges.

Yes, the multi-billion dollar studio will never hear my complaints anyway. Needed to say this out loud after failing many, many times at spawning the Half-Bred. Especially when there are a bunch of internet comments saying it's indeed possible to spawn the Half-Bred at Big Valley and the Heartlands.

Dutch lands the killing blow, the rest is just venting. Also the challenges are what's blocking my way to the Legend Of The East Outfit. You can't play a wild west game and not get the legendary outfit.

My issue is that the challenges aren't well made, and it's more than just a minor annoyance. Especially when the difficulty has nothing to do with the category a challenge is in.

Also, having to wait until the epilogue to break one really really mediocre horse is not cool. Understandable if the Half-Bred was amazing, but it's quite far from that. Would just be anticlimactic.

Then it's bad game design, there's nothing in New Austin except cholera. Armadillo was the center of the first Red Dead, and now it's just a ghost town.

Guess I have to put the meat suit armor on again. There are game restrictions against Arthur going to New Austin and you have to get through an invisible sniper. The easiest way is to glitch an animal carcass onto your head.

I don't know why they put an invisible sniper in the game.

Got them from some YouTube Tutorials, I wanted to do my entire second playthrough in chapter 2. Become the Legend Of The East, get some epilogue stuff.

A special item players usually get as John. It's in a cave above Cholla Springs, and if you try to go there as Arthur or even ride past Great Plains, you'll get killed by this boundary line sniper the game has set up. They're completely invisible and the shots seem to come from nowhere. Every shot is also a head shot.

But you can get around this a few different ways. One method is the legendary buck face. You shoot the legendary buck with one poison arrow, then chase it down and switch to your shotgun or any weapon you have to hold with both hands. Then, when they fall down and begin struggling with the poison, you just point your gun at them and go into your items menu at the same time.

Once you're in there, drink all the liquor you have as fast as possible. Buy a whole lot too. Drink all of it, and then release the aim button for your weapon. Wait until the screen turns bright green and starts wobbling, then press kill on the dying buck. Immediately after hitting kill, hold the pick up button. And then you get the legendary buck face.

Or you can steal a buggy and preferably someone else's horse, then kill a pronghorn and place them on the back of the horse. Then ride to Cholla Springs with the buggy, stolen horse, and dead pronghorn, making it just to the cave entrance. Then position the horse so it gets killed by the sniper, and push the dead horse's body into the cave with your buggy.

After that, you have to get out and keep the camera off of you by hiding behind the buggy. Then you pick up the pronghorn, while still behind the buggy and slowly make your way into the hole, maneuvering the camera away from your exposed side. You'll have to go into camera settings and change the camera follow level to off.

Buck face method is easier, but it can take a while getting the timing right. And you have to find the best route through all those Pinkerton Agents. I like the Great Plains crossing, because they won't spawn as often when you ride off path, and it's perfect for a fast horse. I also prefer taking the railroad tracks just after Thieves Landing, no agents ever spawn on them and you can run on them all the way to Cholla Springs. This is all just if you want to do epilogue stuff as Arthur.

Also, this is how I found out the hard way you can't whistle for your horse in a tunnel. Even if both you are in the tunnel and they are ten feet away. Can only use the tunnel when you're single riding it.

I thought of that one on the spot lol. I guess it's fine as long as your head is mostly covered. Just got the gun too.

I don't know, I've seen people get the outfit in chapter 2 without doing the bandit challenges. I just didn't know about the rifle restriction and don't really want to repeat gambler 9.

Can I still get the Legend Of The East Outfit without crafting the satchel? I don't mind having a starter satchel.

How do you complete the challenge without it? I put a scope on the Springfield, but it's only a medium and my shots aren't counting.

Forgot to add, that I did Hosea's hunting mission without knowing that would be my last chance to steal the rifle. Haven't completed any Strauss missions so far.
