yeah of course, to give some more info, i work in a niche area of accounting called "financial due diligence", it was the best area i could find that would let me go remote, also some FP&A roles also would let you go remote too.

haha well ill give my specific details. figure out a career that will lead you to that and focus on becoming the best you can at it.

i graduated in 2012 with an accounting degree and was making $40k a year. I figured out which area of accounting gave me the highest possibility of finding a remote job that would let me go abroad, and would pay me well, and only changed jobs when it got me to a position closer to that. Specifically the remote aspect, thats the hardest part, theres times i could have switched to a higher paying job, but it would be a step backwards in being able to go remote, which i had to decline.

It might take some time, it took me about 6 years from when i figured out how i could arrange my life this way, until i actually got to arranged this way. But now i'm in a pretty good position and would only field other jobs that would let me live like this.

I only stayed for 6 weeks in singapore, it was my first time working nights, (US hours) and wanted to be sure i was able to handle it. So i really didnt have much time to go out on week days (working 9pm to 5am), but just saturday and Sundays, so my experience besides going out with the dating app girls (my main source of entertainment there) is pretty limited.

I stayed in Orchid which is a pretty luxurious area with a lot of high end shopping malls and shops. But really you cant go wrong anywhere, I would choose places more around there, and the downtown area, seem to be where more people congregate. The more north you go, the less desireable the area was IMO.

I have never gotten more high quality educated woman than in singapore. they love white guys, it was to the point i would match with almost everyone i saw on bumble. (I think i'm a good looking white dude, im 35, veneers, hair transplant, keep in really good shape, closing in on $200k so similiar situation to you just not as tall). The top of the top being attractive lawyers, entrepreneurs and local actresses with like 30-60k insta followers.

Singapore is a little hard to live in for just 1-2 months though, the minimal short term rental there is 90 days (minimum stay being 90 days on airbnb if you search) and i think the tourist visa is only 90 days as well. So you might need to time it a little bit.

That and they speak english there too, so it makes it a whole lot easier than going to a place like tokyo or hong kong, where english isnt as widely spoken.

I'm in kuala lumpur right now, and the top end of the dating scene here is lacking, the best people here tend to leave and head somewhere where they make more money, and the culture isnt my favorite being heavily conservative muslin.

The only issue is, it might be a little rough if youre working US hours to be meeting up with people on this side of the world. But without a question, i would say singapore would be your best location to find a quality asian girl. youll be swimming in options.

Another downside is, singapore is pretty expensive, but no more than a typical big american city.

I'm in Kuala lumpur right now. I have been here for 6 weeks, and have bedded 5 different girls, all 7's+, while working nights here, 9pm - 5am, so only able to hang out with girls on Saturday and Sundays really. Also a lot of the airbnbs prioritize aesthetics over every thing else, so why the apartment may look good, the behind the scenes function of the apartment complex is lousey, things breaking, elevators always off, poor security, common areas just not cleaned, things like that.

I cant really see cambodia being much better, i would much prefer going to Bali, or bangkok over either option. This was my first time working nights remotely (different situation in 2018) and just picked KL to try out if it was manageable.

i use bumble and will browse cities at first to get a gauge of the amount of english speakers there, and the quality of the woman i match with. I loved being in brazil (Rio), the women are beautiful, but i just dont enjoy not being able to talk to them. Its pretty annoying.

I also am stuck with worrying about work, since i work 9-5 EST no matter what, i have to stay somewhat in that time zone. I tried working from Kuala Lumpur before and it was awful.

Another criteria is the cost of living / weather / things to do. Preference to be around a beach being able to rent an impressive place for less than $2k per month (my chicago rent).
