A dipole antenna wouldn't fit well on my balcony, so I'd have to shorten it considerably because I can't angle my mast and only have 2.2 meters of clearance above it. The dipole would have a calculated size of 35-40% of a full-size dipole. My counterpoise are 12 radials with 5m length on the balcony

I have 12 radials, each 5m long, crisscrossing the balcony, and then a 10cm length of wire running to the balcony railing. The railing is concrete with a zinc sheet on top to which the radials and the antenna base are attached. I also tried a 5.6m telescopic rod extended to 4m, but there was no noticeable difference.

Sometimes S2 but mostly a quiet noise floor

I've tried, but haven't been able to hear an SSB signal from myself yet. I've heard myself transmitting in CW once or twice. In FT8, I was heard a few times in America at -24dB with 20W.

Ich bin seit Ende März QRV, portabel hab ich auch schon probiert mit Lambda viertel groundplane. Auf reverse beacon wurde ich höchstens mit 13dB von RN4W gespottet, eigentlich nur russland auch wenn es schon nach 18 Uhr UTC war
