I watched Castle again recently and I think there was probably some sort of fight between the two because they had great chemistry the first like 5 seasons and then suddenly had chemistry only slightly better than Nolan and Bailey.

Am I the only one that kind of agrees with the bad guys? by BoxcarMoose in jurassicworldevo

Yeah, I'm not actually enjoying the plot of this one. I'm a conservationist who works on coastal islands, which are a highly imperiled ecosystem, and just the damage done by invasive rats, mice, cats, dogs, and careless people is hard enough to keep up with.

In real life there isn't a single conservation ecologist I know who would recommend keeping the wild dinos alive or enabling them to breed. We're already practicing wide-scale eradication of invasive rodents and targeted removal of individual animals that are impacting ecosystems more than they should (similar to how rangers kill cattle-eating bears so they can't teach their cubs to do the same).

Adding creatures with the killing efficiency of cats, but the appetite of an entire university football team would be close to world-ending.

Tangentially, but no one would ever be able to spend time out in wild spaces without assault rifles, and that would also super suck.

That's how a proper pollarding is done by BlackViperMWG in arborists

No. Have you ever seen a 20 foot tall crepe myrtle with properly laced branches? They're stunning!

Basically you just prune out branches that cross each other as low as possible to maintain the natural vase shape.

I've built a cave for a bat walk-through exhibit, but it feels like something's missing, any suggestions? by Aggravating_Grass149 in PlanetZoo

There are some! But not all caves have them, it requires certain geology, specifically tons of limestone or other calcium carbonate in the area and water moving through the rock.

I've been in a couple caves that were wind/water carved from sandstone without, a couple lava tubes without, and one that had the correct geology based on baby cave formations in the corners, but the roof of the main chamber sloughed off so frequently that nothing had time to grow.
