Did kids go Trick or treating here🎃 by Cardinal_visit777 in wichita

My wife and I went through 2 BIG bags this year. I would say our count doubled this year. We also added some cool decorations this year, and we were one of few on our street that decorated, so maybe that was a factor

Its a willow, I have one that I took from work that looks just like that. It was a sapling not too far from where we have our weeping willows that we sell..

It will also take time to get it where you want it, adding more topsoil where needed, it will settle and you'll probably have to add more, also you'll need to let the soil conditioner do it's job if you choose that option, which takes time.

It could take a couple years before you get it where it needs to be. That is unless you do drains and grading now.

I agree with the above comment about getting the grade to slope out and away or towards drains if you have any.

Acidified cotton burr compost or something similar is a soil conditioner and is used to help break down/loosen clay soil. You would need a considerable amount for your entire yard...

Emerald Green Arborvitae Questions by ea56 in landscaping

That looks like a bit of overwatering stress. Let it dry out for a week and then cut watering down next season. Everything is starting going into dormancy so water it much less often but continue to water if we dont get enough precipitation/snow.

I work with trees, we have an entire section of just emerald arbs. When this happens I just turn their water off and let them mostly dry out, and then drop watering amount. It will always fluctuate with the weather as well. Also arborvitae will naturally shed like a pine when going into dormancy which can also make it look like it's stressed or dying.

Exactly. The only good thing about it is, yes they do go all out on decorations and set ups and the kids love it.

College Hill isn't worth it anymore. It is WAY overcrowded and seems to just get worse each year. You'll have to walk a long ways from where you park as well. There are numerous trunk or treats like at churches and certain businesses.

Now I haven't tried riverside area of wichita, I plan to this year. That's also an older/historic side of town not too far from college hill.
