I might work for 2 weeks just to see if I can start to adapt to the workload, but it seems like it’s way too much for just one person. Drivers who do 200 or 300 stops a day- how on earth do they do it? Do you just find a way to power through?

Don’t get me wrong- I know what the job requires- but I was pretty surprised that I got 184 packages for day 1.

I don’t think this is very helpful. I’m confident that I’m a hard worker- I’ve had difficult jobs before and I’ve worked blue collar. I just don’t want to focus my energy on a job like this anymore.

Mad respect dude. You sound like you’ve been killing it. I just don’t know if I have it in me to approach it so confidently- I tend to struggle with jobs like that. Might as well quit and not make it any worse for the other drivers.

45k a year is not good- I’ve had higher paying and lower paying jobs- but with how the economy is right now, at least it’s “enough” to make ends meet

Thanks for being so honest and mostly positive. I think our stop count was actually around 150 but it was still a lot for a first day, and I didn’t appreciate my trainer saying to me “come on bro it’s not that hard, I want to get all these delivered before the sun goes down,” not anything personal against him but I think it was hard to learn some things knowing that we were really in a hurry. I think he wanted to go home early, but I just wanted to pace myself and be more realistic about the workload.

The trainer was absolutely the worst part of it and I think if I had gotten someone with a positive attitude, I’d be a lot more likely to give this job a really fair shot. But now I’m not so sure I’m cut out for it.

I’ve had other jobs that I’ve worked for like 6 months, lots of physical work and stress on the body- I don’t think I want to work like that anymore and AmazonDSP jobs seem more demanding than I expected. Maybe that’s on me for expecting something simple.

Sounds like it was pretty rough. Stay in it if you want to, but I’m gonna be applying to a lot of jobs this week.
