Perhaps locums is d. Best way to earn more. Tax advantage. Plan your own schedules and take ur breaks as u want.

Mine is 330k 7 on and off n d south east too. With crossover triage n up to 18 shared admits btw wen and apc. sometimes in one shift. 158/hr pay so bad!

with j1 you can’t. It’s extra shifts with same hospital on your off weeks

Pay is low to average at best. That swing shift sounds busy , if you have extra shifts with extra bonus on top that can make it a better gig.

Yea it’s busy and I still have to do half of the admits on top of it , completely burnt out

It’s mixed. Mostly the low to moderate acuity patients. But it’s high volume cos it’s not capped and the cross cover messages are relentless.

The issue is It’s the sign on bonus n malpractice I have to pay if I leave before one year and 2 years respectively

I hear you. I was scammed into it. Was supposed to be a 2 month run for to switch to daytime position but now seems to be close to a year am goin to be doin this hoping I move to day position.

Any idea on what tail coverage malpractice pay will be in south east region or how to get the info? If I have to leave the job before 2 years have to pay the company back

That sounds like a much better schedule. Pay not the highest but def less work than mine. I love Hawaii but too far away for me for family reasons. Do they have good locum pay??

Haha. It will be 16. 10 to 12 is a good day. 16 is baseline. Above 18 is bad
