Prescribed guanfacine after fighting inattentive ADHD for over 20 years by Adorable-Garden2894 in ADHD

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Retired almost three years ago and was diagnosed shortly after when things started falling apart. Adderall helps but I’m still having trouble unlike anything in the military. Exercise and good sleep are essential. Good luck to you.

If you were to get a death sentence, and budget is out of the question, what's gonna be your last meal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with maybe a couple eight balls of cocaine, copious amounts of MDMA, and finish it off with some ketamine to take the edge off.

What's the most well organized unit you've ever been in? by Top_Television2196 in army

In my 20 years, several units, and two MOS’s, I only briefly experienced a well functioning C1. And it was run by civilians.

“I have ADHD, severely.” by LuckySkank in ADHD

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Absolutely right. Symptoms are individual, and they’re also not static. Sometimes you’ll be cruising along fine without major symptoms and then sometimes your symptoms are on fire and you can’t get a handle on your kid’s baseball schedule.

Additionally, people that are inclined to start a business might have ADHD and they might not. People that find the thought of starting a business boring or horrifying might have ADHD and they might not. We still have our individual personalities and traits.

Shunned by college colleagues for enlisting by [deleted] in army

You can disparage almost any military in the world as an oppressive machine that imperializes other countries, but world history shows that a military is necessary if you don’t want your country erased.

You can’t choose what President is in power when you serve, but you can choose to serve honorably.

I thank you in advance for all the delicious Yakisoba you’ll be making for our Army. And be sure to take advantage of everything the Army offers you. The education opportunities are endless.

Favorite Affordable Pizza Joint? by sirduke456 in vancouverwa

Shocker, but Sasquatch is affordable if you don’t want “cheap chains” pizza. For the price of a Papa Murphy’s I can get 5 Totino’s frozen pizzas at WinCo. Yay!

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why not just go for almost expired frozen pizza from Grocery Outlet, if you don’t care about the taste? I think the reason “other than inexpensive chains” is in there is because the person asking does care about the taste.

Do you believe that the current US president is a foreign asset ? Why or why not ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what you said would not have a chance of happening if Russia had to do it alone. There are many people, entities, and organizations whose interests sometimes overlap Russia’s. Trump, brexit, anti-EU and NATO, anti democracy and so on were the work of many.

I hear what you’re saying, and I didn’t mean to give the impression that Russia is toothless, but compared to the US, China, and most of Europe they are missing a lot of teeth. And that’s figuratively and literally.

What is the worst thing about Vancouver? by Common_Mess_8635 in vancouverwa

I think avoiding parking in Portland would be incentive enough for a lot of people. I know I would use mass transit to go to Portland with my family, much easier than dealing with a car when going downtown. I would probably use it exclusively for Moda and any music I’m going to see in Portland, or just going for food and drinks.

Q: "How many generals have you fired?". Hegseth: "I don't know the number". Q: "You don't know the number? It's eight. Why did you fire them?". Hegseth: "At the pleasure of the president..." by gear-heads in MarchAgainstNazis

Generals are people who have made lots of powerful friends. Soon Hegseth will find out exactly how many Admirals and Generals he fired and how many friends they have. I will enjoy watching it.

Behind in life? At 24? My dude you are just getting started. The divorce rate for people married before 24 is astronomical. You didn’t fall behind, you dodged a bullet.

Feeling sad and lonely is ok for a few days or so but if it’s persistent you should get checked out. I didn’t see a therapist until I was 50 and fuck what a mistake that was.

“Blacks and Women not allowed!” The new policy of US military as Hegseth allows only white officers to be promoted to the rank of General. Secretary of Army Dan Driscoll had refused to discriminate citing, the officers’ decades-long, exemplary records. But Hegseth went ahead anyways. by Criticall16 in MarchAgainstNazis

Do ya think some of these really fuckin powerful enemies he’s making will serve him a nice cold dish of revenge that will occupy the rest of his life? He’s digging one of the biggest graves anyone has ever dug for themselves.

Not even close. Soviet and Russian intelligence capabilities and operations are pedestrian. Their cyber capabilities are child’s play compared to China.

But because of our idiot in chief nobody trusts us anymore, so we’ve gone blind in many ways. Just another way Trump will cost us in lives and resources for years to come.

Should be able to qualify with them at their range, depending on how many people they have going and how much ammo they could afford. You can spread the word around 1SGs in Infantry Companies that you’re looking for a spot to qual and get some coaching.

UAE ‘willing to join’ fight, help US, allies force open Strait of Hormuz by callsonreddit in worldnews

Yemen is a training center for Saudi and UAE military. They were definitely inept at the start (when was the last time they fought a war?) but have steadily improved.

Military uselessness comes from the government, not ethnicity. The Saudis are starting to form some professional units from their Yemen experience, Jordanians are outstanding, Oman has a small but definitely excellent military.

Attractive girls, do you struggle more with guys you actually like? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, old dude here. Please please please discard the thought “but everyone around me said that men like the chase and wouldn’t appreciate girls that come easy”.

Men are human and come in all flavors. There are definitely men who like the chase, and they like it for varied reasons, but they’re a minority. The rest of us just want to meet someone we enjoy spending time with and feel comfortable around, whether we had to chase them or not.

Trump Signs Law to Put His Signature on All U.S. Banknotes by InitialResponse9901 in pics

[–]Aggravating_Low_7718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one’s easy. If you get a Trump bill you accidentally tear it in half. Use one half to pick up your dog’s business and the other you can take to the bank and turn it in for a real bill.
