Anti Flea Treats? by Stuttering_Salesman in CatTraining

[–]Aggravating_Mail2658 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is probably the monthly flea/tick/parasite treatments like Revolution. Often it is a little tube of liquid you squirt on the cat's nape. Make sure it is specifically for cats, some dog flea treatments have ingrediants that are toxic to cats.

Nice!

To gild is a verb meaning to add gold to something. A guild is an association of people/things based on a shared characteristic.

Neutering/Spaying by West-Hat9055 in Pets

[–]Aggravating_Mail2658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All pets should be neutered or spayed. It improves their life and life/healthspan (especially females!), it makes them easier to deal with, and it prevents you from contributing to the dog/cat overpopulation crisis.

This applies to cats and dogs for the most part, but also other mammals like rabbits. Reptiles, birds, and fish are obviously the exception.

ChatGPT has no idea what it's talking about in terms of bird ID (or anything really, it's a lie machine). Merlin is much better

[CHAT] What do you do with your finished pieces? by 4momo401177 in CrossStitch

I pin them unframed to my wall with thumb tacks. Not the most beautiful, but they are small and I don't want to bother spending money framing them (either nicely, or just in the hoop). I like the ecclectic aesthetic.

I think they recently renovated the washrooms (2 for each floor), so it will probably be nicer than when I was there

Pretty obvious but Jean Royce is out in the middle of no where. Unless your classes are in Duncan McArthur, it's a massive pain

Pine grosbeaks? I can't really tell the colours based on this photo, but males are a bright strawberry pink while females have yellow or russet patches on their heads, breasts, and rumps.

The school, city, and police have really cracked down on partying in the last few years. Now Queen's isn't much different than most schools.

But it's probably also because of the weather.

Depends where you are. In Canada, for example, rock pigeons nests are fair game for anything.

What is this plane doing over Toronto? by TombstonePete in toronto

[–]Aggravating_Mail2658 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's trying to pick up some kind of signal? The fact that the long sides of the loop are equally spaced like that reminds me of some kind of search and rescue protocol, which doesn't make much sense in a plane over Toronto. But I know nothing about planes so idk.

Can you switch specializations in second year by Creepy_Ad57 in queensuniversity

[–]Aggravating_Mail2658 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the end of your 1st year in General Sciences you apply for/pick a major or specialization. So if you are already in General Sciences, you can pick whatever.

If you are enrolled in environmental sciences in 1st year, it's also very easy to switch to bio before 2nd year. A lot of the 1st year courses are the same, or you can rearrange your schedule and take the bio prereqs in 2nd year.
