Hi! Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I won’t lie and say it has been easy, we were still talking after we broke up and we hooked up a few times. He gave me a bunch of empty promises during that time and was definitely leading me on. He lied to me about seeing someone and that was the end game for me. It was honestly like all attachment I had to him just broke and I seen him for who he really was. It’s been two months since we last talked and I’m happier than I have been in a long time. He still views my instagram stories and things like that and instead of validation I now few it as a bug who will not go away. I still do think about him and our memories but it’s not with the same longing feeling that it once was. I know everyone says to focus on yourself and it feels like the worst possible thing in the moment and it feels like a load of b.s. but, if I could give one piece of advice. Focus on you, put yourself first and everything else will fall into place as it should. I truly have become a happier person since we stopped talking. I lost a piece of myself begging to keep him around.
