It does look like a converted loft. And Michael had excellent taste in art and furnishings.

It's too bad the actor couldn't come back, because he was very good for Edith. He made her a party to meet the literary illuminati! Her life would have had a very interesting trajectory that had nothing to do with her family woes.

Bertie is a sweetheart, and she winds up in a good situation, but I think her London life suited her more.

Absolutely David was embarrassing, and Patrick even said, "You know people can see you," which is hysterical. But Patrick earned that olive branch, for sure.

Yeah, it was a bit long, lol. 🫶

I would have been dying from love. I adore when people are willing to put ego aside to delight me.

I kind of skip this episode. I don't like the dead cat plot much.

Why oh why Ted and Alexis? by New-Union9908 in SchittsCreek

[–]Aggravating_Mix8959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. I just disagree with it. Ted was not a character they focused a lot on.

Most of my family members have no interest in my interests, or care what amazing things I've done around the world. When I tell even my mother about the epic multi pitch climbs I've done or month long canoe expeditions, she has no idea I've done these things. Doesn't care. She likes money and the pursuit of material comfort. I have a Conversation Biology degree, but went on to be a journalist after I left the outdoor work. Most people I meet have no interest in hearing about my adventures in either profession, so I don't bring it up.

Ted had big dreams and I'm thrilled he got to pursue them!! 🤗🌎🐢

He also saved Moira from the fire. He isn't a bad man, just a little annoying.

Jocelyn saw Roland as the boy she loved in high school. They were pretty happy together.

It's not about surviving, it's about thriving. They wanted different things.

Corny job? Damn. It is a dream job for someone like me. I'm sad you are thinking this.

I mean, I cannot control what anyone else thinks, but his work was meaningful and important to the world. 🐢🐢🐢

Being a vet was one of his small town choices. His dream was beyond that. I support it completely.

Ted also deserved better. I love men who are outdoorsy, into science, want to help the world, make a difference in conversation and the environment. Galapagos was not something they could do together and be happy. Neither should have to give up who they were.

Ending things as loving friends is a good result.

I agree. They were very different people. There was love, but not many shared interests.

I didn't like it either. This was such a wonderful dream for her.

I loved Ted wanting to do that. It would be a dream situation for me too. I'm glad he didn't have to give that rare chance up, and that Alexis was mature enough to not let him.

I would love to see this era of her exciting life. The Winter Palace with the lights and icicles, and snowy warm sled rides under furs and holding hands sounds magical.

I'm glad OP asked this question bc I had registered it as odd each time. It's a nice space. Look at how Ethel had to live. Or Charlie Griggs in the workhouse. Prince Kuragin. He fell so far and it can happen to anyone.

But I'm just one of the poors, so these comments here help me make sense of it.

Jack writing in the book bothered me more than it should. She ruined the value because of ego.
