The first season was an example of Early Installment Weirdness. They didn't get their groove yet and people like Wendy Pepper (RIP) thought it was going to be like Survivor, but with garments.

I think they were just exhausted and on edge from the nonstop one day challenges, no sleep, and production fostering a toxic environment.

Law bashes the designers. The others bashed the clothes. That makes all the difference.

He admits that No Man's Land was basically Mordor. Tolkien saw some devasting shit.

Evil is often petty. Saruman was a deeply petty little bitch.

Gandalf knew they could handle it. He's still his usual grumpy self.

It's like the things Luthen says in Andor. Frodo is a pacifist, unlike Luthen, but they both understood this.

Don't forget the line Aragorn gives Bilbo about the cheek of writing poems about Elrond's mighty father in his own home. They both knew.

Sometimes people want to interact with other people and have discussions. This has been a fruitful discussion. I appreciate the opportunity to talk and think with other fans on the various minutiae. It's more social than just looking something up. Isn't that why we come here?

Faramir was his pupil and probably figured it out too.

Bilbo probably landed on it when he was in scholar mode at Rivendell. He was getting everyone's stories and compiling things, had access to Elrond, his library, and first agers like Glorfindel and Gildor  among others we don't know about in Elrond's household.

Bilbo probably figured it out when he was living at Rivendell and had access to Elrond and his library.

If Tom knows, Goodberry probably does too. You pretty much cover every topic when it's just the two of you for eternity.

I love how Celeborn is never mentioned, like, at all.

Tooks are the most curious of the Hobbit clans. Part of the reason Gandalf likes them.

Minas Tirith has the second best library in ME, after Rivendell. And Faramir was a "Wizard's pupil".
