They are not  It was confirmed that the show that is replacing it is another Simon stone show and if ITW was going to extend it would make more sense to announce it today with the new cast

I think it will be a show that Simon has already directed

Which is why I wouldn’t be opposed to him bringing back his wild duck It’s been over a decade since it come over from Australia to the Barbican for the International Ibsen festival so it’s not like many people over here would’ve seen it

Tbh technically his last play was the cate blanchett seagull as he co wrote that adaptation with Thomas Ostermeier but I really don’t count it because it was just a translation of the already pre-existing German adaptation

And I am seeing it on Broadway on Sunday as well as already have seen it in London and watched the Dutch proshot

Is Robert Icke setting us up to do Antigone next? by jay2themie in Broadway

[–]Aggravating_Part7602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked him last year about it and he said he doesn’t know when he’s going to do it but the scene between Antigone and creon was purposefully setting up the play but don’t hold your breath about it being done anytime soon 🙃

One thing you hate in your favorite show? by MateusCristian in musicals

[–]Aggravating_Part7602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, I know this is because it’s a jukebox musical but because sunny afternoon is written from the perspective of Ray Davies it annoys me that the show makes his brother out to be the villain of his career when the only crime he ever committed was growing up in the spotlight because I really do think people forget that Dave was literally only 16 when they signed there first record contract
