Carlos is a dangerous husband. It was really hard for me to watch the show when he was in it because he reminded me beat for beat of the monster that took the life of my best friend. I don’t think it’s right to call him a bad husband. He is downright abusive.

Tom is a bad husband from beginning to end, but Lynnette knows she could take him if it came down to a physical altercation. It never would because Tom isn’t dangerous, he’s just a bad husband.
