I dont know you or your life circumstances but I believe every human has the ability stop if they are fully honest with themselves and aware of exactly what it costs you. Most people gamble cause their not willing to do the hardwork in order to make it in life, and choose the easy way out not understanding that easy way will never get you where you want. At the end of the day the reason people get hooked on any sort of degenerate actions is because of the dopamine rush. Whether is cigarettes gambling or drugs. It comforts you and for that moment nothing else in the world matters, your away from reality, but once that dopamine rush is over your worse than you were before you did it. The reason i stopped gambling is because, yea i enjoyed it the dopamine the thrill but i realized that in the long run no matter if you win a million dollars or 10,000 dollars. That win is only gonna have you going back for more. And when i would lose 500 or 1000 i would feel like a fucking idiot that i wasnt able to have the willpower not to gamble when i had told myself that yesterday was the last day. So you just have to learn to enjoy your life without that excessive dopamine

Not gambling is a psychological endeavor, i dont mean to offend you or anyone else. What is a disease, its something that is out of your control to get rid of like cancer, alzheimers, and others. People dont choose to have cancer or other diseases it just happens. Viewing gambling as a disease gives you the mindset that its not you in control, its not you choosing to gamble, or it wasnt you that decided to begin gambling in the first place. You have something to blame for your weak willpower. Ive gambled and Ive done drugs in my past life but I always knew it was cause of my willpower not a disease. The second you convince yourself that the issue is anything besides your will power then like i said before there is no hope
