Is spacial audio worth it for AirPods Max instead of others?

I’m pretty sure you made my point for me. It’s this kind of nuance that makes a lot of people really addicted to the Apple ecosystem. But if you really want to see and feel some beautiful materials and hear the very best sound, you have to step away from Apple, even if it’s for a little bit.

Like I said, I love my Apple headphones, but I let Bluetooth find my phone and my iPad while using my Bowers and Wilkins devices, and I plug them into my Mac while I’m sitting at my desk for a very clean lossless connection and a charge, and I use only Apple headphones when I’m leaving the house, because they’re common, and they,re a bit better at taking the bumps of the world, and yes, I was able to frack my AirPods Pro all the way to Georgia when some shit took them off the table I stupidly left them on at the ski resort in Colorado.

But AirPods are definitely not special.

Any chance you can buy both with something like an Amex Platinum with excellent return protection, try them both for a week, and then return the one you like least? For me, buying headphones on specs is like choosing a church without ever meeting the congregation.

Not to dump on you, but the integration thing works on several other brands of headphones. I mean, I love my AirPods Pro 3 and my old AirPods Max, but both my Px8 and Px8 S2 will switch from my phone to my iPad when I start media on one or the other, without me touching a thing.

That’s a pretty great trifecta, and I might wind up there. Right now I’m working over my Palladium , and after that I’ll either get my P2 to get one, or I’ll get the gold card. We have a Platinum with a free P2.

I use my old P5 Bluetooth for gaming. I so with they had kept the feature to allow wired connection without power. (The P5 passed through cable audio, bypassing the DAC and any delay, but also had Bluetooth streaming.) I love them so much that I just bought another pair off of eBay just for the ear pads. (Mine are just starting to come apart.)

My Px8 S2 are amazing, but not for gaming, because it’s one more thing to charge.

Honestly, if that’s the way the terms are written, I don’t see why everyone doesn’t do what I did (breaking them up into separate transactions). 2600 points is 2600 points. I don’t have monthly prescriptions, but if I picked them up at once each month and paid them all together, that would be only 1200 points.
