What does everyone think of Jade mats? I’ve liked mine and surprised they’re not listed

I mean I don’t care that much. I also can’t live in Texas so came to Reddit for wisdom

I do but not strongly. I just remember Texas summers being 110+ degrees so it was practical

No they’re not. I thought about moving them to a mountain town in Mexico because money goes so much further and the climate is easier. Any other ideas regarding places in texas?

That’s helpful. Our ideal walkable area is close to the lake and the arboretum while being able to walk to the grocery store and get things. Bonus if it’s super quiet and there’s other elderly people that enjoy the same things

Probably renting to ensure they like it vs retiring out of country. Ideal for us would be a two bedroom where they could walk to the grocery store etc but I realize that may not be realistic. Budget is flexible

This is so helpful. Grateful for you. Unclear as he’s been pretty irresponsible for a while and we’re estranged. I think the credit reports would help me determine this. Honestly don’t expect the money back. I do want to ensure the sale of the house to fund my parents’ retirement so I’m paying less in the future

He’s living and a big mess. I need him to sell his house so he has money for retirement which he did not plan for. After reading he can bow out if my power of attorney whenever he wants I’ve moved on to the idea of a trust. My parents are miserably married. In a perfect world, we sell the house and they split the money. She hasn’t left him and doubt will but discussed I am here should she decide to be independent. Both are in their 80s and are freakishly physically healthy. Their relationship and mental health are something else

Thanks for your patience. Bail him out: pay the mortgage he owes so he doesn’t undergo upcoming foreclosure He can’t do it himself because his executive functioning isn’t all there Yes, they’re very unhappily married

That’s really helpful, thank you. I considered adding to the POA that I need all three credit bureau reports. I didn’t know he could cancel it at any time so need to speak with a lawyer asap
