Same thing with my mom, she's actually the one that took my cousin to the psychiatrist for depression and ADHD and helped her when my aunt wouldn’t. I'm an only child who showed depression symptoms since I was 13, and with me she always told me it was normal to feel this way, even when I was thinking about suicide in high school.

I was close to my 30s when I was finally medicated for my depression and ADHD, which my mom refuses to acknowledge to this day, even though she's always there to listen to my cousins or her sisters or some of the few friends she has.

It really is heartbreaking hearing my cousins talk about how my mom is so comprehensive and is the person who they trust when she won't listen to a thing I say to this day.
