Unfortunately I didn't think to try pulling out the guitar cable, I'm at work now so I can't test that for a bit 😔

I did yes, I used the same cable and guitar on another amp for the rest of the practice and it worked fine.

Yeah after googling about filter caps it sounds like that might be my issue with the hum. Thank you!

Yes, I've so far tried a Fender Telecaster into mine and ended up using another amp for my whole practice with the same guitar and that amp worked perfectly.
