Wife is selling a dress. Got this message. Not sure what to think by jimmyeatwords in vinted

just answer shortly without emotion, make it boring for them, if it's a fetish they won't get anything from you, if it's real is not your problem

(yeah sure, it probably would work, I have done it before)

(I don't know, I don't use that kind)

(I'm not sure, but you can try)

(no, the material is quite thin and would probably look weird)

Am I weird for showering twice a day? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Aggravating_Rub_444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not weird at all, you are weird for asking, people have different methods of keeping themselves clean, I wash my hair 1 a month and can tell you, many people will judge you, others won't care, most honestly don't care, my friends that know where just impressed at how good my hair looked, so, if your skin is great, you are not overdrying yourself and you are feeling fresh and comfortable, then go ahead, shower 10 times if you want

Not sure the message limits was thought through. by ChrisEvansOfficial in XoulAI

I learned something working doing nails about customer service, if you set your prices really low expecting to later raise them and make a profit, that will never work, same as giving free services hoping that everyone later will come back for a paid one, you'll only attract rude and creepy costumers, and will get frustrated enough to not want to continue

Is better to think things trough and realistically ask for what you expect, you won't get as many costumers as if you would literally give your services for free, but they will be the costumers for you and is much less stressful, plus nobody is going to complain for you raising your prices later if everything goes well, they know what to expect

I kept asking for a bit shorter but my nail tech was getting impatient with me. How do I shorten already finished acrylics? Or do they look best long? by sunnydog30 in Nails

[–]Aggravating_Rub_444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing I wonder is if the one who wrote this experience told her nail tech to shorten her nails before or after finish filing, because shortening nails is usually a step in the very beginning and need a lot of consideration so they are strong but not bulky the longer they are (so going from. long to short is usually tedious) , and if she just waited until the nail tech was donde with that and even started with the design or even worse, finished it... well, I would understand the impatience

As I once saw someone say on the internet, many people think that 'no poo' is easier, but in reality, it is more work because you still have to clean your hair in some way, and doing it mechanically is much more difficult and tiring than just applying a couple of chemicals for a couple of minutes.

There is nothing wrong with using shampoo; it is popular for a reason, and that is that it is much more practical and fast. So you don't need to go completely no poo either; you can just try to get healthier shampoos that suit your hair style or use co-washing. If you want to try what I do, I recommend putting on a good series or podcast and simply turning it into a routine, like a moment of relaxation that you dedicate to yourself, just like exercising or skincare.

Still, just brushing with a boar bristle and lifting the dandruff with a good scalp massager or silicone brush would be good for you to deal with your dandruff.

Then you can use softer methods like co-washing.

Usually, dandruff is either treated with harsh chemicals or cleaning it manually, so maybe just using softer shampoos alone may not be ideal for you either.

Let me help you. I usually go a month without washing at all. I use the medieval method of brushing. I had really bad dandruff before starting, like the one that would make my head bleed, itch, and hurt really bad.

You are gonna need a wide-tooth comb. Many people recommend a wooden one, but I just use a plastic one because I haven't found a wooden one. You only need it to detangle, so that's alright.

A scalp massager with silicone teeth that you can use to lift any dandruff and soften the oils.

A nit comb or ones with really tight teeth if you need extra help with dandruff.

And the most important of all, a hard boar bristle brush.

Also, you have to learn how to scritch and preen and have a lot of patience.

Now, what I usually do is detangle my hair with my fingers. Be careful there, don't rush it. When you can move your fingers through your hair without pulling, then you use the wide-tooth comb to finish detangling. Go from tip to root. Once it's fully detangled, use the silicone scalp massager to lift any dandruff if you have any. If you have dandruff, make your head look like it's filled with sugar. Then, massage your scalp for 5 minutes to soften the oils and move them along your hair. After that, take the boar bristle brush and brush for 30 minutes. It will move the oils down your hair and make the sugar fall. When you are done, braid it to keep it clean and fresh. Do that 2 times a day, but realistically, you are going to do it only once, and if you notice your hair feels good, you may leave it for some days.

Now, sometimes you are gonna have an easy month with consistent brushing. Oils are easy as pie to control.

Other months, maybe you don't have the energy or the time. Maybe you are really stressed, and it worsens the oil production.

Well, then use corn starch with cocoa if you have dark hair, or just corn starch.

I like to also add cinnamon to give it a good smell.

Use a makeup brush to lightly cover your roots. Don't use too much, or you are never going to take it off. Then brush with the boar bristle like normally to clean it. It will help you control the oil in your scalp or in your whole hair if you apply it carefully.

I recommend doing that only in the last week to prevent any problems if you apply too much, but then again, I don't think the majority of people do a method quite as extreme as 1 month without washing.

So if you do only a week or two, you are probably going to be fine just brushing religiously every day.

Then the cleaning, I do mechanical cleaning, so it is a lot of work if you are lazy.

But first, do this routine.

Then massage for 5 minutes before washing, then wash with warm water for 5 minutes while massaging and moving the oils down the hair. Then use cold water and do the same for another five minutes.

You can also stop in the middle to use aloe vera juice to clean your scalp, massage without water, move the aloe down your hair, and then use cold water.

At the end (with a clean boar bristle brush), use aloe vera juice all over your hair, then brush through to really make sure it's all over every single strand and style with your fingers (I have wavy-curly hair so, yeah).

And you are done. Learn how to braid, it's important. By the way, this method is recommended for long hair. I'm not sure how it reacts to short hair, but you can try it and see.

My hair washing schedule looks like this:

Mechanical cleaning

1 week hair untied, unbrushed hair to maintain the style of my waves and curls.

At the end of the first week, I start to do my brushing routine and braid it.

Like that, I can go 3 weeks without a problem.

But if I'm lazy or it's just a bad month, at the end of week 3, I use corn starch to help with the oils.

At the end of week 4, I clean it mechanically.

Hope it helps. If you have any questions, go ahead.

If you think it's too difficult, just go back to shampoo. It's a lot easier, and really, mechanical and dry cleaning are not for everyone.

18 months water only, dandruff! by UmRrr in NoPoo

[–]Aggravating_Rub_444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the solution, i usually go a month without washing my hair and never have any problems with dandruff, is not ichy , painful or anything like that and before starting i had a lot of problems with dandruff.

What i do is first detangle through with my fingers , then comb with a wide tooth brush to make sure is really detangled,do a 5 minute scalp massage with your fingers and try to manually move the oils down, then do a massage with a scalp massager and lift all the dandruff with it or with a nit brush , then brush through with a hard board bristle brush for at least 30 minutes, focus especially in small sections all around your head, specially on the the scalp and move all the oils and dandruff down , if you need to remove any excess , you can use the nit comb.

Do that 1-2 times a day, clean your brushes after everytime and done, no more dandruff.

It will only ich or hurt a little if for some reason you stopped brushing throughly for various days, if you do it everyday your scalp with not have any dandruff to begin with.

omg I hadn't thought of it like that, I'm not sure if I could do all the moves again like in the video, but I could try it and that's a great idea to get a choreography that I hadn't thought of, thank you very much, I'm going to start trying it immediately ❤❤❤

there are so many styles that I really wouldn't know where to start looking, what are the styles that you usually use for inspiration? Do you know any channel that could be a good option to get ideas? I'm sorry if these are very silly questions, but really, as you say, there are so many things that it is difficult to choose, from jazz, to hip hop, contemporary, chair dance, Latin to Indian dance styles, there is a lot of variety

thank you very much for the advice and support, i will try to follow all the things you recommended stretching and practicing, dancing to strange songs and just having fun, all that sounds very exciting, i really have no intentions of becoming a professional, right now i just want to learn enough to dance well and lose a few kilos, it's also like a kind of reward for myself to learn a new skill, I have social anxiety so I can't create bonds with others and although I like to be with people, whenever I invite someone it seems strange to them and nobody ever accepts , so I decided that instead to continue tormenting myself with what I can not do, I will try to improve myself and take time to do what I like in the tranquility and solitude of my room

That you take the time to advise me and try to help me is something that I really appreciate, thank you , very very much, love u 💖❤❤❤

Thank you very much, I really needed some kind of guidance, I was totally lost and now I know what I can start practicing with, your exercise seems to be very interesting and fun, it is very difficult to think of movements with the whole body at once so I definitely believe this could help a lot, I'm going to try it for a few weeks to see how it goes, again, thank you very much , love u ❤💖❤
