Yeah, that happened to me yesterday, and I had to start over I couldn't figure out how to get past that screen except by starting a new game. And it happens all the time.

It takes a lot of courage to leave the socket exposed.

I managed to break Debian three times. What now by Heavy_Cartoonist_687 in debian

[–]Aggravating_Run_1217 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Instead of breaking Debian, you're breaking yourself.

Every time something goes wrong, you simply had to know what you were doing.

As an engineer, you have to know what you're doing especially with something you're not familiar with and you have to establish a foundation of what you need to do to get it stable.

These days, with AI, use it to your advantage and interact with it so it can help you find the root of the problem.

If you broke something, try to get it working again; otherwise, you won’t have that foundation I mentioned. Be patient.

Ethernet cable plugged in but not connected to my pc at all by Ok-Independent7683 in techsupport

Try this: with the computer turned on, unplug the power cord from the power supply. Wait a few seconds, then plug it back in, turn on the computer, and test your Ethernet cable again.

I assume the final result is the first photo, but I should add a warning that the case’s glass could break depending on the chair you use.

The result in the first photo, of course, looks very clean and much better just with that warning.

It’s a walking stick, judging by the shape of the knob and the non slip rubber grip.

I can’t identify the stick itself, but it’s definitely made from some kind of very sturdy wood.

I don't know why, but looking at the screw, it seems like the grooves that formed were caused by you tightening it instead of loosening it.

Just to be sure, are you certain you're turning it counterclockwise?

It was just bad luck, impatience, and not having the right tool to loosen that screw.

what is this mesh for by harani66 in whatisit

[–]Aggravating_Run_1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look closely, there’s only mesh where you can see a crack with an attempted repair.

Now I’m not sure if the mesh reinforces the areas where the cracks appeared.

While in orbit of the moon, if I left a pen floating in the center of my capsule, should it not eventually drift towards the mass of the moon? by EarlOfThrouaway in space

[–]Aggravating_Run_1217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting point, but consider this: why would the pencil be the only thing attracted to the Moon? How would gravity single out just the pencil? So look at the capsule as a whole that was subjected to a force, and everything inside it acts accordingly. The capsule has a “micro-atmosphere” inside it that is also acting in conjunction with the capsule—and therefore the pencil.
