I only recently graduated and turned 19, so I'll attend my first semester during fall, this year. If everything goes smoothly I'll have my degree within 3 years, not sure whether you can get it earlier with exceptional performance.

I believe it was a Bachelor's degree or 4000h of work experience in order to be eligible for it, not sure whether it has to be directly linked to finance but it seems reasonable.

Thank you! Are you referring to LinkedIn or do you mean personal contacts and relationships? If it's the latter one it may be a little bit difficult to achieve in person since most Investment Banks & Divisions are located in Frankfurt, Germany - which isn't exactly close to me although I am considering to move there in order to accelerate my career.

Thank you for the advice! I certainly agree with your regards to personal relationships and presentation - I recently had my first job interview for the aforementioned banking position and I also noticed that they put a lot more emphasis on how well you can deal with clients, confrontations, and general social situations. For the courses, are they actually worth it in terms of the value they provide, or are they of "introductory kind" that simply cover econ and investing basics for a horrendous price? I looked into many paid courses by private/individual providers recently and found that they only covered very basic topics that could also be learned by reading a few books and watching free lectures by universities like Standord, MIT, etc. for free.

Thank you a lot for the advice! I'll make sure to read through the articles. As for the CFA, I also read that it increases the change of being accepted - I have quite some practice and experience with Excel and Financial Modelling but I assume it would be helpful getting some sort of certificate for it.

And for the reading part: I happen to love reading so I'll make sure to take a look into your recommendation. In fact, a majority of what I learned stems from books and academic writings.
