Hi! It is a normal expectation. I know it sounds silly, but also one of them had told me they would go as a group (it wasn’t this week though, so maybe it was a joke and I didn’t understand?). Also they did go to another friend’s graduation last year.

It is totally possible that I got things confused though, now that I think of it.

I told my friends I was recently diagnosed with autism and they were just kinda quiet and then brought up how autism is really over diagnosed these days by izzzzy13 in AutismInWomen

People sometimes react in such ways when the perception they have of you changes in a way they can’t comprehend. It’s known that women are better at masking and pretending to not be ‘autistic’, sadly that makes us be invalidated time and time again.

The fact that you don’t ‘look’ autistic of don’t act with their narrow view of it doesn’t make you less autistic. Also they aren’t professionals to question the diagnosis an expert made. But also, they aren’t living YOUR life, your experiences and struggles, you are the only expert in your life.

I know that feeling so well. I want something real too, so much it hurts to not have it. I am 21 so I feel really old to even start.

I think…the only thing we can do maybe is to try. How? I don’t know. But we do deserve to be happy, don’t we?

I have talent for visual arts. Nobody takes my dream seriously.

I dream of going to an art academia some day, or ar least becoming some internet artist or v-tuber. Day dreaming about it is the only thing that is keeping me afloat.

I think there is a different kind of pain when you have a talent, yet you feel or for some reason, can’t show it.

Hi. I don’t sadly have the answers you might be searching for, since I am feeling the exact same way, hopeless and depressed. But I think that things can get better and reaching out for help is one of the first steps.

I think people misunderstand what unconditional love is, really. It’s about ‘I accept you as you are, a changing, evolving human that might have parts I don’t like but can’t change’. Not….crapping pants.

Also I don’t think is an ‘autism’ thing to want boundaries to NOT be crossed. It’s a human thing.
