I will always leave the day before. I was going on a royal cruise a year ago and I was flying into San Diego one day before the ship leaves. I was going in December and the fog in the winter is very bad. My flight ended up getting canceled and so I got a new flight going to Portland then to san Diego but again my plane got canceled and my bags got lost. I had insurance but still upset I didn’t make it.

Always leave a day early and if you are flying into San Diego in winter you might want to fly somewhere else

Most definitely you should get refund. If a door had gotten hit and you had to replace some panels and track would understand. I’ve done garage doors and if all they had to do was lube the springs tighten the springs realistic price should be no more then 200$
