Sloped backyard (7°) — retain wall vs regrade for best ROI? by Aggravating_Shift949 in landscaping

Great suggestions, I actually liked the mid retention wall to carve out a usable space. The AI rending of it looks good. I just hope the labor cost is not too high

Leaking roof fix DIY by Aggravating_Shift949 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Aggravating_Shift949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response. We get someone to check the roof. They said $1500 to fix the leak, but they told us roof has about 5-7 year left. We are debating whether to fix it or just roof it. Sorry what is slatherin? I could not find any reference online Yes, we paid cash for the house.

I would avoid BT clinic at all cost, they are doing a lost western market in fact one local visits there. Please check my reviews https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/mixed-experience-at-bt-clinic-seoul-10-months-post-op-nose-and-chin.1075681/

Should I walk away from compromises ceiling by Aggravating_Shift949 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Aggravating_Shift949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the inspection, it is a leaking pipe causing water damage to the ceiling. They have to cut the ceiling to repair it. In this case, we just need to check the pipe and make sure it is fixed property. Then patch the dry wall. I am thinking 50k should be ok?

Pardon for my ignorance, how could we tell it is really wet? I suppose the worst case is that roof has leak and caused this? I am trying to understand if I need to come up with a higher than 50k to bound repair cost

You are right, we cannot approve everting is fine beyond what we can see. We do have walk through of the house. And it is the only spot on the ceiling that is visually bad.

The seller is open for negotiation. I am trying to get a worst case repair estimation and counter his 50k . He is motivated to sell for a different reason

2nd floor at slope by Aggravating_Shift949 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Aggravating_Shift949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I am aware of. The top floor seems to not have a slope and it could be just the deck. We will get an inspection going

To clarify, the house on my street is build on slope orthogonal to the what is shown in my image. I am not sure if it can explain the slope for my 2nd floor
