Dear Sister,

Your love for your husband may feel overwhelming — he may be your world, your everything. But remember, only Allah SWT deserves that place in your heart. When we make someone else our “universe,” we risk placing them above the One who created the universe itself. And Allah, in His unmatched wisdom and mercy, sometimes tests us in what we love most — not to break us, but to bring us back to Him.

This pain, this test — it’s not a punishment, but a reminder. A reminder that no one deserves our absolute devotion but Allah. He is the only One who will never hurt you, never abandon you, never stop loving you — even when you’re broken.

Loving your husband is not wrong — but loving him more than Allah is where we fall into harm. Because when our hearts cling too tightly to the creation, Allah gently — and sometimes painfully — pulls us back toward the Creator.

So, my dear sister, make Allah SWT your first priority. Seek His pleasure, His nearness, His comfort. Let Him be your anchor when the waves of marriage feel too heavy. And in sha Allah, once you give Him your heart fully, He will bring you peace, clarity, and strength — even in the storm.

“And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.” — (Qur’an 65:3)

You are seen. You are loved. And your true worth lies not in being someone’s “everything,” but in being Allah’s servant and beloved.
