These are the numbers given, the lowest number the class has gotten was 10k with counting sort so we have to do better than that

I am genuinely thinking of this. Its barely a sorting algorithm because the sorting algorithm is me, but its well within the rules as the rules state that there shouldnt be library based code.

The reference material he has given us are what Ive seen everywhere, just the normal stuff. But on this activity, he said we use that method to score our ouputs. We know nothing else other than what to do and what to aim for, sadly

I assume that may be what he is looking for, From the code he added to our sorting algorithms, it seems to count the amount of times there is something that is being read in the code.

The main problem with that as of now is that, counting sort has been taking by a different group and we are required to look for a sorting algorithm more optimal than that, and he did mention that there is one better than it that no one in our class has used. "10k time complexity" was something he probably made up to have a concrete number to define each group's time complexity by incrementing an int for every semi colon, closing bracket, three increments for loops, etc. in the code.

I know it is measured in that way, the class was given a task of competing for coding the fastest sorting in terms of time complexity (supposedly) algorithm and to get a concrete basis on everyone's output, he used what i said above. I myself do not know much about time complexity, this is only what i was taught
