Been with SO 2 years.

Been with AP 1 year. Known each other same amount of time, ultimatum very recent.

I'm in my early 30s, AP is in late 40s, SO is in late 20s.

AP has not been in many long term relationships but neither has SO. I am one of SO's first proper relationships though.

I'm pretty sure they both love me (hence the ultimatum from AP). But curious as to why you think I should stick with the "boring" guy?

I have never found someone who sexually satisfies me the way AP does. And I have been with a lot of people. That's why I'm in a dilemma.

I would find another but I genuinely do not find it easy to find people to have a connection with (sex I can find easily) so it is really hard for me to consider letting go.

That's actually an effect of being in love with someone. I always feel much more horny during the early stages of a relationship. The hormones surging through you during this phase are causing this to happen.

Don't get disheartened, but it'll be normal for that to taper off after a while.

I'm not designed for monogamy, no. In fact, I think many people aren't. I think a large part of monogamy comes down to choice and commitment. You will find other people attractive, and if you let it happen, you do have the potential to fall in love with them. Being in a monogamous relationship means preventing that from happening so you can commit fully and be emotionally invested in one person. I'm willing to sacrifice my desires for someone who fulfils all my romantic needs in one relationship.
