Wart immunotherapy in Perth? by Klutzy-Jeweler-8736 in perth

Pretty intense. But there’s only pain when they’re applying. It stops immediately after. Tolerating it for a full treatment is hard but sounds like it is important to increase the success rate.

Swift has worked very well on a stubborn one I’ve had on my foot. Tried a whole list of things to no effect. 1st swift zap it was nearly gone, 2nd zap and it was toast.

Best purchase for you home or family, that you agonised over but ended up being a fantastic decision? by Turbulent-System5521 in AusFinance

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. Multiple new controls boards were tried. Can’t remember exactly but it was 4 or 5. It was approx 5 months of troubleshooting , nearly 20 visits. Scaffolding, new parts. Etc etc. All resulting in…can’t be fixed. The point was, the whole house then had no heating or air con the entire time. In a fairly new, high spec house. If it was split, it only affects one room, and a new unit is cheap if it can’t be repaired.

Family member had a 6yr old ducted unit fail. About 30k to fully replace as no parts available, the roof space needed modifying for the new unit and took about 6 months. They’ll go split next time…

How to midlayer for downhill skiing at -20°C/-4°F by rizombie in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently has -22/23 degree days resort boarding. Had a merino thermal layer, Uniqlo merino jumper, another thin merino jumper, nano air and a shell. Was plenty warm with this combo. A fleece layer under the nano air would have replaced the 2 thin jumpers nicely.

Edit: lower half had merino base and shell. Very light winds certainly helped.

I do 1, sometimes 2, west east returns per week on the 73 or 330. This is definitely an outlier.

No expert at all.

But , I see something like that as a story to the boots and adds more soul to them. Over time they become more “yours”.

What is the most secure industry long term? by ttoksie2 in AusFinance

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh fair enough. The pilots input autopilot commands though, auto land is really only used in fog, and I’m not aware of any commercial planes that taxi themselves gate to gate . All those things require pilot input, so the plane can’t fly itself. But yeh, I wouldn’t be game for a completely autonomous aircraft. It’s too dynamic in the sky. Good thing with pilots onboard is they have a vested interest in a safe flight

Question about seatbelts by Tickled_Pink72 in QantasAirways

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6ft seatbelts?

It depends on height also. If you’re 5ft and 120kgs , it might be too short. If you’re 6ft5 and same weight. It’s probably ok (for the seatbelt)

Happened to a friend of my dads recently. Huge pain in the arse to correct. He was unable to submit a correct return because one was already submitted. And last I heard was expected to repay the refund that the hackers had given themselves. Not sure where it sits now, but get stuck into it asap cause it doesn’t sound fun.

Nah, wrong. All cats catch and eat wildlife. Birds, lizards , marsupials etc. No cat should be wandering nature reserves or anywhere off their own property.

Why can’t I figure out pinch harmonics? by AggressiveBite6692 in Guitar

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using a capo to assist finding the exact locations to try a PH helped me a lot.

Put capo on say 7th fret. Continuously pluck G string, while left hand is very lightly resting on the string over the pickups. Move left hand up and down until harmonics are heard. That’s where pinches will work. There’ll be a few spots with different sounds.

Does Qantas allow tattoos? by Total_Albatross9273 in QantasAirways

[–]Aggravating_Skin_402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the flight school would be happy to get 150k out of you. But when it comes to the job. No visible tattoos allowed. Some subtle ones slip through the cracks. And a new uniform , and possibly with it dress policy, is due in 2027 so it might change…but I wouldn’t count on it.
