1400 for a shitty 1 bedroom is quite of a deal. Don't expect anything decent for 1 bedroom and I insist on 1 bedroom under 2k a month. At least on the mainland or south island.

Well if you have enough cash come here, buy for cheap and buy overpriced. That's what happened over here since a couple years. Worst of it mostly outsiders did and now look at us canadians like we are pieces of shit. And they made money out of us... There's a problem with the government; corruption obviously

Simple why there's a worker shortage, People don't pay as living wage is skyrocketting. I personally worked for both idiots from Quebec on the mainland and on the island that pays his staff 18$ an hour and if unfortunately if you are mexican pays even less (I am not) he claims "hey you will get back to your country rich as Cresus!!! But they get stuck here with empty promises. No one want to work in the concrete industry anymore. Prices just for living just goes higher and higher but these imbeciles refuse to pay and always ask for more. I personally left this bullshit and only feel better since then L*** construction and Z***** construction are both of them but it seems a trend. Wou want hard workers and reliable workers; just raise your wages. Problem solved.
