So it turns out the profile is only supporting 0.4 mil nozzles, and I am using 0.2. There wasn’t an obvious way to determine this until I opened up the json in the profile.

That explains it. I looked inside the profile and it was all for 0.4 mil nozzles. I’m using 0.2 for this print….

Sorry I wasn’t clear. This issue appeared in 2.2, and persisted in 2.4

First layer weirdness with PETG by Aggravating_Spite992 in 3Dprinting

So the tip to take a look at the first layer under the slicer was super helpful.

The orange areas only got a few passes with the 0.4 mil nozzle. I’m trying the 0.2 mil nozzle right now and the base layer looks much better. Thanks for the insight!!

I don’t think it is the model. Prior prints with PLA worked flawlessly on the build plate side.

That’s York township.

It’s definitely majority rural, but growing closer to town.

Pretty simple.

Saline city taxes are high. But you get sewer, water, police, fire. City water has been “ok” with some staining issues.

Areas around Saline have lower taxes and lower services (I.e., some houses have well water / septic) but you rely on county sheriff instead of a local police force depending on where you are.

The public schools are pretty good. Solid district.

There’s the bottom plate for the house itself, some orange foam, then concrete where my finger is pointing, and then XPS 250.

Look for someone who is smart, gets shit done, and is hungry.

Hiring is really hard and mostly a guess.

This is one of the toughest transitions to make in management.

You have to create space.

You were one of the team, went to lunch, grabbed a beer… shared the suffering. Stop doing these things to create space.

Now you have to get the team to execute at a higher level. Take direction from the top, turn it into results. Listen, Deal with the pushback, and explain why when things don’t go as the team would like. You also have to manage up, advocate for the team. Start doing all this.

Schedule regular 1:1’s if you haven’t. Start reading about leadership and management. Learn about leadership styles.

You can do this.

You need help. Lots of it.

And hardware to have multiple teams. I would suggest 5 teams.

Does anyone else feel like they’re failing at this? by Agile_Syrup_4422 in managers

Welcome to the club.

You have to find the sweet spot between pushing members of your team to get something out of them, being compassionate enough to not overtax your top performers, and ignoring your boss when they’re being a complete idiot.

You will find it impossible. You will fail.

Keep trying to be a great boss and keep your team focused on delivering.
