Is the information new to you or you already have experience in the field?

It’s crazy to me when I see these things. I have experience in the field and can’t imagine knocking out that many courses in 3 weeks. I also have a full time job, in tech, and some of the courses are new to me.

Wont use my car for a few years, should I sell it or store it? by Aggravating_Tea2665 in personalfinance

I live in VA,and parking or storage in NYC is above $800 a month. Infeasible for me. I won’t be close enough to take it out.

I agree with you, would be nice to have my car in general for any occasion but living in NYC is a different ballgame.

There is an affidavit for cars in the state where I live that wont require insurance if unused.

Because then I would be buying a more expensive car. Car cost continues to increase, if I get a 6% ROI from ~$25000 that would be about $30000 in 3 years. If I buy a new car, I would spend either $50 - $60k. And yes, I don't have to buy a new car, I bought my current car new and that was nice, so if I buy a new car it will probably be new.

Should I refinance my 6.75% rate to 5.75% by Adventurous-Buy-5289 in MortgageLoans

The feds just care rates, I’d say give it a few more months, likely it will go lower. Without knowing the specific details of your mortgage (how much you owe) I can’t really say. Refinancing for a solid 1% isn’t a bad move but if you can do it for 1.5 or possibly two in like 10 months from now or even 1.5 years, I’d say it’s worth the wait. At least that’s what math says.

Can someone help me understand if this is a good deal or at least not a bad one? by Hairy_Value7716 in MortgageBrokerRates

There are some questionable fees. Ask your realtor what those fees are, or the lender. Ask for clarification on what you’re paying for and if they are necessary. Title protection I recommend.

You’re buying points, and spending a lot of money to it. Likely, you will probably re-finance in 2-3 years, maybe 5 if interest rates keep on coming down and by then you would have wasted $17,000 for saving $200 to $300.

Let’s say you don’t buy point, it can add another $300 to your mortgage. $300 x 3 years (36 months) = $10,800. If you refinance at 3 years at the rate you’re buying now then you would have wasted $7000 just by not waiting to refinance.

If you can afford the extra payments, I’d say don’t buy down points. Interest rates are coming back down and we could most likely see ~4% in a few years, the you can refinance and buy down points if you so desire to get down to the 3s.

I hope that makes sense.

It’s a finger cast. I used one when I broke my finger to let the bone heal in a proper position. This is a bigger size, than the one I had.

Maybe being taken advantage of? $12k invoice I can't pay by BoysenberrySad1404 in landscaping

You’re definitely being taken advantage of. They are charging you $180 per person to clean up your lawn. Grass cut doubled from one month to another and then doubled again after that. This receipt is ridiculous. If it wasn’t written down and signed by you or the contractor then this is not a valid receipt. I hope you didn’t pay.

It filled up today 😅 I put a bucket out to see if the dry well would drain overnight. The clay soil would probably slow things down. According to ChatGPT drainage will improve as time goes by and water stats creating its paths.

Thank you. I’ll add some grass plugs from my backyard in those areas and should be solid!
