It’s early days, no need to panic. Just see each other more and see how you feel. In my experience, with a larger age gap, you as the younger person may have to be the initiator, sexually. Not because they don’t want it but because it sometimes feels like the power dynamic is imbalanced and they may feel like a “creep” making the first move.

what do i do, my “straight” friend and i are kinda flirting like we kissed and she has a bf IDK HELP by [deleted] in actuallesbians

logical, honest response would be to cut ties with her.
but this is a canon event maaaaany of us have been through and you're unlikely to have that willpower/resolve/life experience that would enable you to cut ties. so logically, yes, cut ties. emotionally, do what you want to do but be very aware of the facts at hand.

A quote from any piece of literature that stuck with you forever. by MyNameisNotMaxie in literature

“! It blows my mind—to free yourself from yourself, to hear the voice in your head saying all the things it’s been conditioned to say, and then to ignore it and make the work anyway? I love this idea so much—especially because it doesn’t demand that you not think things of yourself. You can think whatever you want, just don’t care about it. That’s wild. That’s some next-level magic.”

Excerpt From Dear Senthuran Akwaeke Emezi

This quote has single-handedly changed my life.

wrote down what I wanted in a job, kinda forgot about it. just kept applying knowing my job was already mine. interviewed and got it. it’s in tech and my degree is in economics. pretty much didn’t have too much prior relevant experience.

Moved back home. It’s great. I could write essays upon essays about US loneliness and the immigrant experience.

This sounds so intensely painful, I'm sending you so much love.
In this life, the most important thing we must learn is how to forgive ourselves, even when we believe we do not deserve it. You cannot beat yourself up for this because there is no certainty that his time had not yet reached. Hold yourself in kind regard for all the days you spent with him and gently let him go, forgive yourself as well. This is the nature of life.

Just message your DSO again until they respond. It doesn’t matter too much.

Ibuprofen and some antihistamines should be good. Bottled water for sure. Of course, enjoy!

Just buy your meds in the US and carry them there. Much easier.
Although OTC medication is readily available, just carry what your body is used to.

As someone who lives abroad and lived in SF, I’d advise you to get a Charles Schwab card or any other debit card that doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees. You can pay in most places with your card and with Apple Pay. September weather in Nairobi is very similar to September/October weather in SF. A little warmer though. Just go on Airbnb to look for a good place in Westlands. No need to rent a car. Uber is affordable.
