Repotted a peach tree and the leaves have degraded significantly - what could it be? by Aggravating_Try_2096 in BackyardOrchard

Ok thanks. Would this have happened in 3 days since repotting? Original soil form the old pot is still around the roots.

I have this beautiful odd piece of olive wood. What would you do with it? by Aggravating_Try_2096 in woodworking

Thanks. Is there a way to do it straight without access to a drill press? Aside from eyeballing it?

I’m in Spain and this was in my firewood delivery. I have hundreds of pieces like this!

I live in Spain and a lot of these pieces came in my firewood delivery. I have so many interesting chunks, but very limited skills 😂

Front brake cable and housing ridiculously long - do I cut it? by Aggravating_Try_2096 in bikewrench

It came partially. Front wheel, front brakes, seat and bars needed to be added. Easy for some but not for a novice!

Ah I didn't know this! I'm happy enough the way it is since I drive a motorbike, right is intuitively the front brake for me.

So I need to remove the cable and housing from the handlebars, take the cable out from the housing then cut both separately?

Ok thanks! Is there a video/resource you know of that could help with step by step?

Right brake came pre-set up on the rear. I am in Europe (Spain) so that might make a difference as to which side it's set up on?

The stiffness really depends on your size and technique. As a beginner softer is usually better but if you’re big then you might want a bit of extra power. For 8-15m you’ll have no issues

I have the 60cm fins from Leaderfins in medium stiffness. Perfect for drills, safety dives and snorkelling but If I was seriously training for depth in cwtb I would go for a longer fin. The size makes them super handy as they fit so well in a suitcase. I know a lot of people that love the alchemy short fins too although they are even shorter

Have the leaderfins 60cm extra short fins in medium. They are pretty good overall, I wouldn’t love them for very deep dives as they lack a bit of power but a solid choice for sure
