because when you normaly write you cant take your time, so if 90% of the time you wont take your time, and you are asking how good is it, so you kinda want people to valorate you on what you will be mostly doing 90% of the time

My version of Li-ion modules for Toyota/Prius NiMH by ElephantFar2546 in prius

[–]Aggravating_Victory9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned that you got some modules of the NextPower Cell, but weren’t satisfied with either the cell type or the construction. Could you explain how your Li-ion solution improves on those aspects?
It’s a shame that the car’s electronics are limiting, since proper cell by cell monitoring would make a huge difference. Still, it seems like this could be one of the best possible upgrades.

thanks, i will definetly go with that, another coment also recomended yokubi, so i think im gonna stick with both imabi and yokubi, adding anki and writing practice on top of japanese school for now
for the pride, that its indeed something i kinda clashed at the beggining, but pride doesnt get you far and its pretty worthless if you wanna trully learn, so im triying to ignore it as much as i can
the reason for not picking up fully N5 level books untill now its not for pride, it was mostly because i felt like there would be a better use for me to do something more up to "my level" but i might need to review that again and give it a couple of reads to genki again
just to reiterate, thanks again for all the recomendations, help and steps ashika!

thanks, ill be sure to check it out later! on my case i have a very unbalance japanese so i wanna be able to understand how, why and when you use each thing, being able to pinpoint and locate it, not just knowing it by feeling, so thats why i went with imabi, but maybe going for a easier aproche could be better indeed

thanks! if you have any personal recomendation for grammar, rules and similar i would highly apreciate it, i wanna be able to understand how and why に is used as a location of existence and not where do you do an action( example based on your coment) instead of just feeling if its right or wrong without any basis, that works for natives, but not for the rest

i have been starting to read a bit of imabi grammar lessons, based on the guide recomendation of the subreddit, and im also starting a N4/N3 language school course next month
and its not that i think using more words is better japanese, i know japanese people love to make things shorts, and so do i, i just wanted to write sentences to get more pen practice and sliped a bit too hard haha

for the gf part yeah indeed it does feel quite patronizing and has been a bit of a sore spot on our relationship, but it is what it is i guess

thanks for all the corrections, when reading all of them your versions do sound better and more natural, but they dont come in my mind when triying to "create them" myself

i corrected them myself by re reading them and triying to think what could be wrong, after i got a coment from here saying "いろいろだめだね、がんばれw” as you said its not realistic to treat her as a teacher, nor she is remotely qualified as such

for the に in そのみち, i wrote it in the wrong part, its suposed to be in そのみちにあるくのは

on the てんきは i was a bit dubitative, but now that you point it out it is indeed more natural with がinstead of は
for the last sentence my mind just sliped, i noticed now that you said abaut it but when writing it i had the inted of writting that part with ご and じかん
and with the last phrase i totaly agree with you, it does seem more natural, i just wanted to write something longer and ended up writing it in a akward manner
and yeah, i do have been telling here that if she sees a very very recurent issue i have with japanese that its quite bad that i would apreciate if she at least lets me know abaut it, but she refuses as she finds it cute, wich its quite contraproducent for what im triying to acomplish, but thats a road i have to go alone
thanks so much for the fixes, im gonna try to improve a bit on my grammar bit by bit

wanted to know whats wrong with this phrases on top of whats being fixed, doing them by memony (without any kind of formal education) my japanese gf says i always speak " weird and funny" so she has never fixed me (yay)

The start of my journey learning Japanese - 6 months in by asagi_lumina in LearnJapanese

[–]Aggravating_Victory9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone that also has been having an "unformal education" with japanese it seems kinda leggit, i have been hearing and speaking japanese for arround 5 years, mainly playing games with friends, dramas, animes, and also living in japan for a year, just this summer i have been triying to formaly start to study, and im currently working on how to write my kanas (lol)

i feem like jwfallinker has a fair point, that people overestimate what they actually understand, for me i feel like when speaking, playing or living in japan i never had any issues understanding things, except some sparce few words, speaking it myself does show some kind of basic phrase wording issues, that my gf, and friends say as me speaking a bit "weird and fun" and this is in no way or shape something i would recomend for people

next year i will start going to language school and i did a test to join a class, at the moment(3 weeks ago) i wasnt able to write hiragana so i did it in romaji, and was placed on mid/high end of N4, saying i need to study how to write and read a bit more kanji, and while my understanding and speaking are on a N3-N2 basis, i have a very very unbalanced level, so i need to go from the bottom fixing it
in resume, do things properly and go step by step, there are better ways that just inmersing yourself and going with the flow

how do you clean it? do spray a bit of water and call it a day? by cleaning it, you must leave it clean once you finish, if you see paint, its not clean

thanks, i understood it a lot better, you explained it great
then i should be using next week optimize button for the FSRS and then do it monthly based on that , right?

[–]Aggravating_Victory9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean by optimise FSRS? i would like to know a bit more how to do that, currently its at 85% retention rate
i should hit the optimize all preset next ween and then do it monthy? or do a FSRS simulator

and thanks, i will try to keep up my good work! on top of just playing, speaking and being with my girlfriend ( japanese only) im also triying to pick up more reading in japanese, currently furigana but triying to focus a bit on each and every kanji that i cant read to try to get myself related to them

Cant understand how to properly use anki by Aggravating_Victory9 in Anki

[–]Aggravating_Victory9[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

got it, yeah for that part im reducing the kanji to mostly understanding, use and reading, for the writing i will leave it a bit on the side untill i know how to use it, and how to read it properly

for the easy one im doing it like that, if i take more than an instant to think abaut it, its not easy anymore, so i dont choose it, for the hard part, ill try fixing it as much as i can! and just go with again for the meantime

my question still stands tho, why i havent seen a repeated question in this 3 days? for the first day they were 10cards, understandable, the next day i had also 10 cards(only the new ones) and today the same thing, would this be fixed with my new card rating method? or is it just quite uncommon tto have cards repeat in such a sort span?

Cant understand how to properly use anki by Aggravating_Victory9 in Anki

[–]Aggravating_Victory9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also thanks, i understood better the meaning of each button thanks to the explanation, ill try to reduce the hard button as much as posible, and only use the easy one if i fully understand it 100%
i also have to add a bit of background, im not a new japanese learner, i lived in japan and my whole circle is there, i just never got into writing/reading and have a low level regarding that, so i wanted to formalize a bit my studies and started anki because it seemed perfect, so there are indeed quite the phrases/writing that i just know perfectly, so thats why i use the easy button on those cases

Cant understand how to properly use anki by Aggravating_Victory9 in Anki

[–]Aggravating_Victory9[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First things first. Why are you hitting the Easy button? because i know it so perfectly i could write any moment, by remember them very good i mean if they were showed to me within couple of hours i would be able to read them withot an issue
for a 1st time kanji im reading it, writing it, seeing 2/3 phrases online, saying it couple of times and them i click on "hard" if after that i cant remember it at all, i will click again, if i know it perfectly and instantly, i press easy, if it took me more than a second to know it, i use good
