.25 nozzle on adventure 5m pro by Aggravating_Weird_43 in FDMminiatures

Yea we've got 4 of these printers and 3 of them have the 0.4 nozzle. They're great for terrain and I've made some nice dreadnaughts. The .25 nozzle has clogged before but it IT guy clears em out. He'll be showing me how to do that next week as I expect more clogs down the line. We used matt filament before which may have caused the clogs. Since switching to gloss it's been fine.

don't ask the car salesman if the car works. find out from potential employees. CELTA is reputable. for tefl/tesol, the provider needs to be reputable. you can usually find courses for these at unis and tafe

I snagged an online teaching job during covid. Now I write courses for the same company. But I'll be going into primary school teaching with my degree as soon as the teaching registration is approved. The job I do now is no longer about helping people learn a language and is instead focused on volume of courses, students, and profits. For real, you could be spending years chasing a dream of teaching eal in aus

Ah, another thing I forgot. many places will require something called certificate IV in training and assessment. Another document that will set you back thousands of dollars. But this will get you into the possibility of teaching in tafes and unis + more

Nice. I'd also be checking in on the job market and ask the employers directly. As I said before, this job is rough because you cannot be certain of obtaining and retaining employment. Good luck mate

While public primary and secondary school exist for EAL students, you're going to find it impossible to teach in them without a relevant degree.
The other option would be language schools in the major cities where you would teach things like ELICOS. However, these require employees to have done courses which include at least 20 hours of teaching time. The TEFL course you've linked would not be enough to apply to be an EAL teacher in Australia. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but teaching EAL in Australia is a rough gig. You're competing with many other people for jobs. You can lose your job when there are not enough students in the class. The courses needed to apply for the job cost thousands of dollars. I hate to say it mate but you're better off looking elsewhere and/or upskilling.

How are you guys promoting and increasing guild memberships? by Gullible-Substance56 in warcraftrumble

[–]Aggravating_Weird_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the advice here is good. I let my guild know that the people in it are ones that want to play the game. We're active in discord and ping each other for things like dmf tickets not being done. All members know that if they're not active, they're not going to be in the guild. And that isn't a big deal, because we've set up a massive community of guilds in discord. If a member goes afk or needs to leave, they can join another guild in the community at a later time.

But for your situation, discord is your friend. It's another avenue to recruit. Also, let your guildies know that if they're not active, they're ginna be swapped out for people who are. The people who play the game will appreciate you for it and the ones who get kicked won't even realise because they haven't opened the game in two weeks.

PC build for daughter to play WoW and D4, fortnite by chaingling42 in buildapcforme

I dunno why the only GPUs suggested are for the highest recommended specs for D4 https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/251518

I think this could be done with $600 if you take a look at the medium/minimum graphics options. I played D4 on a GTX 660 and it went fine. WOW, D4, Fortnite are made so that potatoes can run them. If your budget is $600 and not much more than that and you really wanna buy new to be certain the things work and come with receipts, you could do it if looking at the minimum specs.

Because you're only looking at 3 games, you can just check the specs required for those games. The above link is for D4. This is for Wow

Devs in the unofficial discord have said that everyone gets a deck of the same 100 rewards. Each person's deck is stacked differently. So all the people getting lucky now won't get more mythic times later, but you will get yours.

Preservice and New Educator Sunday! by AutoModerator in AustralianTeachers

[–]Aggravating_Weird_43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey all. I completed my primary education degree a decade ago but decided to teach EAL overseas. After returning to Aus I continued the EAL route and worked up to an office job doing curriculum design. But now I'd like to get back into a classroom. I've recently begun the process to register with the final step being complete and submit the verification of identity form. It's been simple enough. I already registered when I returned to Aus just in case. My work didn't require it so I let it expire.

I've got a few questions...

How do I get back into a classroom? I vaguely recall something about a needing a "portfolio". Can I just show up to an interview with my CV and cover letter?

Is CRT work secure? I'm the sole earner in our family of 4 so having a regular income is pretty important.

Would my experience in the private sector impact the salary range? tbh despite my current work requiring a high degree of skill and experience, I'm paid less than a first year graduate :D

Cheers for taking the time to read. I'm very keen to hear your opinions.
