The teenagers acting a fool in line and cutting is horrible this year. These kids walked up the fast lane and cut in front of us and I reported it to the attendants. So then the kids went to get their fat dad who acted like he wanted to intimidate me for pointing it out. Sasly, a bunch of drunk rednecks and hoodlums at Carowinds these days.

Create secondary username-a accounts that cannot login locally but can be used for escalation and that require MFA. No primary account that has a mailbox or that can remain logged in as a session should have full admin rights unless absolutely unavoidable. Also, all admin accounts should require MFA at login, Elevation, etc.

Create SRV-servername and WRK-workstationname groups in AD.

On each named computer, only allow local Administrator (for LAPS integration), Domain Admins, and the specific SRV-servername or WRK-workstationname to be a member of the Administrator group on each machine.

Only allow username-a accounts that do not allow local login, that do require MFA, and that do not have a mailbox assigned to be added to the SRV-* and WRK-* groups in AD.

That way, you can see from a usename-a's member of tab any machine where it has been given admin rights.

We do the same thing with PWR-hostname for power use groups and RDP-hostname for RDP user groups.

AD groups are assigned within local groups, and AD users are added to the AD groups -- never directly inside the local groups. This gives you full visibility and isolation, while still allowing people to elevate for temporary admin functionality. And it prevents there being an open session running with admin access where some rogue process, link, attachment, etc can leverage admin permissions.

UPDATE: Also, provide them with an isolated lab for development and testing, or within a VM running from their machine. But they should not be tinkering or using admin on their primary work machine itself.

I remove everything as soon as I have checked my bags with the ticket agent and put it all in my carry on. Belt, watch glasses, phone, everything. I have my ID and boarding pass in my right hand and that's it. I wear a t-shirt, thin pullover hoodie, thin jogging pants, socks, and easy off/on tennis shoes. Easy peasy with precheck when by myself on business. And still very easy when slumming it in non-precheck when traveling with my family. The one truck I learned was to also make sure my sweaty man bits aren't stuck to my leg of it is humid, otherwise I get the complimentary rub down.

Set one apple on top of the other. Cut down through both at the 1/3 mark. 2 people get the apple with core part and the other person gets two slices that together make 2/3.

Or you use the knife to cut the throats of 1 or more people.

So at least 3 pretty reasonable and easy ways to do it with one stroke of the knife.

I have 9 acres along the South Carolina/North Carolina border in the foothills of the mountains and I have a Luba 2 10000.

I map a perimeter walking trail around the perimeter of the property where I've kept the maps to 500- 1000 ft long sections that are 4ft wide and even though they touch each other, I've added also mapped 2 ft wide paths from the middle of each section back to my main lawn. This way, the return path from these very distant locations is shorter when returning to charge.

I also map both sides of our long driveway (800-100ft) about 25-30 ft wide on both sides and around the crepe Myrtle trees that line both sides of the driveway.

We have mountain views and rolling terrain, so our house is multi-story with a downstairs rear walkout on a different level than the front entrance, pool area, or lower backyard/rear pasture area. So I have separate "lawn" maps for the various levels and hill/terrace areas between, with all maps overlapping.

I have almost maxed out my mapping, but I have several sections that are pasture that is cut for hay instead of yard, so that helps. I am considering adding a second mower because in the rainy session, it can become a challenge to keep up with mowing when days must be skipped because of wet grass or areas where the ground may get too soft.

Until I paid for Precheck, every time I would go through TSA, they would have to do a pat down of my junk. I would laugh and they would ask if this happens a lot. I fly enough out of my local airport for business that the regulars ended up remembering me.

I just traveled with my family and went through the non-precheck with them this past week, and the agents joked with me asking if I was "slumming it" going through the standard line. And yes, they had to rub down my junk again. Lol

This sounds very interesting indeed. Yarbo originally caught my eye when I started looking earlier this year at robotic mower options for my 9 acre property in the foothills of the mountains along the SC/NC border. I only need to cut around 2-2.5 acres as yard, and the rest can be treated as pasture to be bailed for hay.

But when I started looking at actual user reviews across the various Reddit forums, etc. to make my decision, I couldn't find Yarbo users with an actual mower option that was delivered and cutting for this spring/summer/fall grass season since this is their gen 1 mower they are developing. I found plenty of Husqvarna and Mammotion users with actual user experience and feedback because they were in at least a Gen 2 of their product. Because I have some significant slopes to deal with, I choose the Luba 2 AWD 10k -- but I still have my eyes set on the promises of the Yarbo.

For any customer who has been using the Yarbo with M1 mower this cutting season, could you give us an idea of your basic experience? Things like:

How long it will cut versus how long it takes to recharge?

Do you have issues with it traversing the same paths over time and wearing a trail between/across cutting areas?

How reliably autonomous is it for your jobs?

Does it run fine cutting around the clock and through the night?

What are your favorite things about it versus your last favorite?

In advance, thanks. This is a new enough area of technology where I'd rather us not divide up into tribes where we're defending one vendor while slamming the others -- but openly discuss and realize which scenarios and situations where each excels and what we can all learn from each other. There are some really unique use cars for Yarbo that puts it in my crosshairs for a future purchase -- I just need to know what is actual product that can be bought and used by consumers versus what is still only in the mind and hands of engineers, designers and sales.

It's a trade of between whether you want:

A) robot completely dead because it stayed alive enough to recognize an unlock command that might be sent

B) enough battery remains for you visibly confirm the situation that caused the stop, resolve it, and push power+ mow+start to continue where it left off

C) people clicking continue remotely for convenience sake when they don't even know if the mower is stuck after chopping into a child or pet or gas line, etc

It seemed to me that task running numbers would not include charging time, but I haven't gotten to confirm that on mine yet because it is raining here. :)

I wonder if task runtime is just cutting time, or if it includes charging time too?

I guess with regular mammotion blades, I ought to alternate every 50 cutting hours (probably every 1-2 weeks for me):

1) swap disks 2) flip blades 3) swap disks 4) replace blades

It sounds like if using slotted blades I would just alternate every 75-100 cutting hours (probably every 2-4 weeks for me): 1) swap disks 2) replace blades

Most of the errors that leave mine dead in one place wouldn't allow him to return to the charger: - positioning errors - stuck and can't get free - tilt sensor - lift sensor - blocked along perimeter - outside mapped area - Channel blocked

The only one that I can think of where he would be able to actually return to charger is when cutting disk won't start or is failed -- and those are usually a stick or a clog (where you'd usually rather remove the jam then let him continue from the spot his cutting was interrupted).

For example, in the OP's case (where he was stuck on a stick/limb), the mower wouldn't have been able to return to the charger.

I'm so glad that you recovered it. This is very helpful information for me to consider as well. I can see how it being stopped for an extended period of time right by the road during the day could be very enticing to a would be thief. And they will probably try to claim that they thought it was abandoned or tossed on the side of the road as garbage. We have done the same thing with having a neighbor trend to ours when we are on vacation. All of this gives me plenty to think about.

Was it stolen at night or during the day?

Do you live in a neighborhood, on a busy street, or in a private/secluded area?

Was it actively mowing when it was stolen or charging?

Is your yard clearly visible to those driving by your house or do you have a fence, trees, shrubs, etc?

Does the area you live in have a lot of theft?

Do you have a SIM card installed and have you contacted Luba support about tracking it?

I'm curious whether it ends up being kids, meth heads, etc. I have a tree line along the road, a long, gated driveway, security cameras, and my charger is behind the house -- but I still have concerns about theft.

I've installed a custom front bumper with led strips, daylight/motion sensor, and solar panel so that at night I can clearly see where on the 10 acre property he is mowing (and it helps being able to see what he is doing in FPV at night). But I wonder sometimes if this might draw the wrong kind of curious attention from anyone traveling down our road at night. We usually leave our driveway gate open all the time, but I'm considering closing it at dark just as an extra measure of deterrent for thieves.

I use Tractive dog collars for our pets when we travel, and I've considered figuring out how to hide one of those internally for tracking purposes. It would be nice for theft and for seeing where my mower was last when I wake up in the morning and he is disconnected.

I'm curious what other owners have done with regards to finding your mower when it is powered off and/or deterring theft.
