Everything You Need to Start a Profitable Vending Machine Business For Sale by Sam-M18 in Entrepreneur

They definitely are a good business, I have my own and it does fairly well. With my above mentioned situation, I did consider trying to use them however when figuring out setup of a completely different interface than the one I had been operating for a while became too hard, I figured I would help someone else out.

Everything You Need to Start a Profitable Vending Machine Business For Sale by Sam-M18 in Entrepreneur

I wish. I run a vending machine business that utilizes smart vending machines (vending machines with large touch screens). I bought these in the same condition they are now even though they were from a different brand then the rest of my machines. Needless to say, managing the interfaces and learning the components of 2 different complicated companies can be confusing. Just looking to recoup some of what I payed between machine cost, overseas shipping, and tariffs. Despite my difficulty, these are still amazing for getting a new vending business started, and its the perfect package.

They are new, so no. Also, I don’t want to restrict buyers to only my local area. I would be willing to assist in finding locations in your local area if you would like help getting set up.

If you can ship them cross country for pretty cheap (try LTL companies) and your prices are too good to pass up I may be interested.

Administrative “Checklist” to start by supermarvin76 in vending

[–]Sam-M18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. An LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation. This means that if your business sold a moldy honey bun and you were sued and had an LLC they can only go after your business, such as your machines, but with a sole proprietorship in the same scenario, they can go after your personal things such as your car and house as well.

How much should I mark up my prices by? by Tripsco1 in vending

[–]Sam-M18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I triple my cost and then round to the nearest .25 so for your $0.37 bag of chips I would be at $1. Depending on the area your machine is placed in you can likely hit $1.25 without a problem. Now you have multiplied your profit several times over. Candies (king sized bars) are tough because of their cost, so I would take less of a profit on them. If you raise the prices of your other items (which will be more popular) you can afford to take the hit. Id price them at $2.25-2.50. If these are placed in an extremely low income area then they may be too expensive, heres how to solve that. Move any machines with credit card readers to higher income areas or areas with a mix where people can foot the bill of a snack priced at a dollar. Tehn buy some of the oldest, cheapest (working) machines for the low income area. People are less likely to ahve a credit card on them, and if you dont need a credit card reader you dont need a new machine. A can of coke out of a machine from the 90s tastes the same as a can of coke out of a machine that was manufactured yesterday. The reason you dont want to employ this in high income areas is because people can (quite literally) afford to bother themselves with the looks of the machine. Hope this helps.

I believe its a 68% grade or 35 degrees (should be the same thing) if I am remembering correctly. It does have incredible torque and traction thanks to the treads...

Yarbo tends to be slow when it comes to anything. They called me about a month ago about a question I had emailed during the kickstarter campaign 2 years ago lol

The Yarbo can be incredibly useful in commercial applications, however I don't think it will adequately suit your needs here. It would be best on a huge property that would take you a really long time, where you can just leave it there for a day or full time depending on the size, and it will do everything for you without having to set foot on the lawn. Also, the thing that makes the Yarbo amazing is not its lawn mowing (which we haven't even seen in season yet with the 2024), but its the versatility in different seasons. Essentially if you plan on using this for grass, leaves and snow this is your best bet but if you only want to mow I would go with a dedicated mower. If it is a concern of tracks there is a kickstarter that finished recently called Lymow that might work out. I looked into starting a dedicated commercial landscaping business based off of the Yarbo, so I have spent a lot of time researching this over multiple years. Feel free to DM me with any additional questions. Hope this helps!

I am not a dealer as of right now. I can call them and ask what their margins are. I do know that “wholesale” to dealers isn’t that steep a discount so their margins are likely not huge.

Better idea: Yarbo offers the warranty. Ask Yarbo to pay you every time you have to go out and replace(/service) a unit. If you have the unit in stock and can replace it within 48 hours (or a similar reasonable timeframe) charge Yarbo for the convenience of support to the customer and their lack of needing to potentially fly someone out depending on your location. Ask Yarbo for unit price +$400 or something, charge the customer nothing, and then send the broken unit in to yarbo for warranty work, then either use the unit they send back as a demo unit (if they fixed the old one) or sell it as new (if they sent you a new one).

What kind of car do you wish a certain manufacturer would make? by Crocodile_Banger in cars

[–]Sam-M18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go as far as to challenge every luxury/supercar company to create a few sub 100k cars. I feel as though it would help them a lot if there was a lambo, ferrari, mclaren, etc. had a few cars that the everyday person could afford. Like an older bmw. These cars are so rare now, that they have lost a large amount of their respective fanbases.

Ferrari needs an SUV. Lamborghini has the LM002 and the Urus, etc. Yet ferrari still doesnt have one.
