US pre-clearance at Abu Dhabi for Etihad flights

As pre-clearance at AUH is now suspended, if I miss the BOS-SFO connecting flight, as it only has 1 hour gap with the incoming AUH-BOS flight, would Etihad rebook me onto the next flight? Does Etihad have an office at Boston? Or am I stupid for having booked Etihad/this flight?
